http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?...news?pid=20601087&sid=aatlky_cH.tY&refer=home Anyone want to take bets on the final number? I'm guessing 5 trillion. EDIT: nah, maybe 10 trillion.
Don't worry. According to some on here, all we have to do is wait and that $5 trillion going down the shit hole will eventually be puked back up in multitudes!
Well, there is one area in which Republicans excelled. A Republican president with a Republican Congress over 8 - 12 years managed to outspend Democrats over a 40+ year time period...
Ok. The point, since I have to spell it out for you, is that ANY party having full control of the Executive as well as both sides of the legislative is a clusterfuck of an idea. I'm not at all surprised that you would think that the righteous Democrats would be 'different' though. But that's coming from someone who doesn't sit around all day looking towards the governemnt for answers and solutions.
I'm less worried about the Dems having full control of two branches, because they'll at least have the Republicans (and the supreme court) around to keep something of a check on them.
And when the Dems have a supermajority in the House, a filibusterproof Senate, and appoint the judges?
I guess the Republicans should have thought of that before throwing the country down the crapper, shouldn't they?
It was Wilson who brought forth the Federal Reserve, which is far more to blame for the mess than anyone else. The Democrats and Republicans are only responsible for where the mess was made, and a tiny bit for it's size. The Federal Reserve is to blame for the mess's existence, and 99+% of its size.
Hey what if...? Hey! If I was a scientist, you know what I would clone? Hotdogs! Think of all the possibilities! Imagine a world with an endless supply of hotdogs! You could have a hotdog anytime you wanted! They'd be so abundant, they'll become our currency. 20 hotdogs would equal roughly a nickel.[/Harry Caray]
At some point, they'll have spent the entire national income, if not the entire national wealth. That's a pretty hard limit.
Fox News has threatened a lawsuit against the Treasury Dept if they don't disclose this information within twenty days.
