Yeah, so Rhoda's doorman got his own pilot episode, and it's on YouTube. Interesting to note that several of the folks involved with the behind the scenes aspect of the pilot went on to work on the Simpsons. I watched it when it first aired, and all I could remember was the jogging scene and the last line. Not really surprised that it didn't get picked up for a series.

I miss that weird style and frame rate that 70's animation has. The only time I ever saw it copied was "Whatever Happened to... Robot Jones?" in 2002.
I have no memory of this pilot, but I do remember thinking "Hey, it's the guy who played Carlton on Rhoda " when the first Garfield specials aired.
