So a buddy of mine got one of these for his birthday: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...frame-kit-glock-17-17l-22-24-31-34-35-polymer Said it was easy as hell to finish (watch video at link, looks easy as hell). It comes with everything you need to finish it up and then buy some 'replacement' parts and BLAMO! a firearm that technically isn't a firearm, no serial number, no record, no nothing (as long as you don't transfer it). Anyone here tried it out? I'm tempted to grab a couple before the loophole gets closed. I mean, I gotta mill press in the garage, why not?
I'd rather have a gun built by professionals. I could do it but I'd rather not. Plus I would never want to use that gun as anything other than a range toy so it's not worth it to me. Also it's not something you can sell to another person without a lot of hassle.
So I know this dude that bought he and his Dad two Midway Glock lowers for Father's Day. His Dad is flying in from Mobile next week and they are going to build them together. Will try to go over and visit to take pictures.
