Because I am, and, damn, it has gotten a lot better than it was. Last night's episode was fantastic. It's got me stoked for Avengers 2. Deathlok was always one of my favorite characters growing up, and it thrills me every time he shows up.
I caught up on season 1 last year, and it got way better once they caught up to Winter Soldier. I've been enjoying season 2 with no reservations.
I stopped watching partway through season 1, thinking "this show is so boring it makes my eyes bleed". But I also started watching again once Winter Soldier rolled around, and wow, it sure did improve in quality there. I wish it could have been that good right out the gate, but at least we can benefit from the character building that was done earlu on.
I've been hooked since the first episode. Posted in the Age of Ultron thread that as of last night, it becomes obvious that AoS was setting up for that movie almost all season. Not overtly, but with some of the sub-plots and throwaway dialogue.
I've been following it, and as of the last episode, I've been wondering if it is safe to go watch Age of Ultron now, or if I should wait till the AoS season has concluded..
I began watching when I was sick last October. Caught up real fast. What a fucked up season 1 but it ended right and this season has been pretty good. Haven't seen last night yet though.
Skye certainly has become a ninja assassin quickly under May's instruction. That one-take gun-fu scene was awesome.
OK, watched it. Feel I have to watch Ultron before watching the next episode, which won't happen as I have a one month old and a 20 month old under foot. So fuck.
I just love the sheer number of minor marvel characters we're getting to see that we normally probably would not have: Deathlok Lorelei Blizzard Graviton Absorbing Man Mockingbird Victoria Hand Mr. Hyde (Zabo) Not to mention name-dropping characters like Abomination and Leader. And probably even more that I've forgotten about. Quite an extensive list, really. I'm hoping maybe in the wake of Age of Ultron, we might even see tie-ins that include characters like Jocasta. Of course, it's also irritation to see someone like Joss Whedon be so completely dismissive of the show. "Oh, well, as far as I'm concerned, Coulson's still dead". Bleh.
The first two Avengers have clearly burnt him out, and he seems like he's totally done with Marvel, but he isn't handing it professionally, and he really needs to shut up, and go take a vacation.
