As a video games enthusiast, I saw this a week ago or so. The studio making it has quite the pedigree having made the three Batman: Arkham games. Those games were awesome! Each of them were Game of The Year Contenders.

What annoys me about this announcement is that their last game was Batman: Arkham Knight... and it was released in 2014. That was 6 years ago. I believe this Kill The Justice League has a target date of 2022...? That’s an astoundingly long time between projects for a game studio. Annoyingly long for a great game studio like Rocksteady. To add some context, Arkham Asylum was released in 2009 Followed by Arkham City in 2011 and Arkham Knight in 2014.

So hear we are in 2020 and we have a cinematic trailer for KJL and it leaves you no idea as to the nature of the gameplay. It’s been 6 years... 2 years to go.... you can’t show me what I’ll be tasked to do or the tools I’ll have to do it with? Did you take 4 years off?

So here we are in late 2023 and this game is finally given a release date of Feb 2, 2024. For the record, that's 10 years after Rocksteady's last game release. How is this financially feasible?

I'd happily trade some graphic fidelity in modern games for a tighter development cycle at this point.

I would like some explanation for how King Shark can use a Lantern ring. Not that I was ever going to buy this game. Never finished the Arkham series.

In theory anyone can use a Lantern ring if they've got sufficient willpower. As a shark that's not constantly eating everyone he sees, he's probably got a lot more willpower than most people realize. :clyde:

I thought the ring chose YOU, and it depends on your morals and character or somesuch.

Usually the rings choose a replacement themselves, yes.
SC reboots their continuity constantly, but generally with green rings the main criteria is "the most willpower" or "the ability to overcome fear." Sinestro was a villain that turned his home planet into a fascist dictatorship, but the ring still considered him worthy. Green Arrow used a ring once when the GL he was with passed out, but it was harder for him because his will was "cynical."
