Someone sent this to me on Facebook...

"According to the Supreme Court, Corporations are people, and can even exercise religion. The ownership of a person, whether as a wholly owned subsidiary or through shares of stock, is called slavery. Slavery violates the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution."

"The President must issue an Emancipation Proclamation for corporations, freeing these people from claims of ownership and declaring that all indicia of claimed ownership are illegal, valueless, null and void."

The 13th Amendment applies to natural persons. Corporations are not natural persons.

Duh. I'm pretty sure that the true goal of the petition isn't really to free all the enslaved corporations, and as such, distinctions of natural vs artificial aren't really all that relevant.

Yes, the "I'm a moron who doesn't know how to disambiguate words with different meanings in different contexts" statement. Nice indeed.

Alternatively, it's the statement of somebody who understands irony.

I don't care what the law says. Anyone who thinks a corporation is a person and should be treated like one is wrong.
