So for everyday carry I have a Benchmade 440c in my pocket. When I have to wear slacks, suit, tux, I have a little 3" Benchmade Auto. I've always like Benchmade for two reasons: They are quality knives My father gives one to me for free every couple of years for Xmas He's a Ford dealer back home and Mel Pardue, their chief knife designer is his buddy. They throw knives into the car deal. This works out well for me. Anyway, I've got my 440C that has been with me for 8 years now. Got it Xmas of 07. Some piece of shit Navy Fobbit at customs in Kuwait stole the knife I carried my first deployment out of my duffle when we were on our way home. That Xmas I got a replacement. Even better, the blade was signed by Mel. Fast forward 8 years, another deployment, a lot of wear and tear, a broken tip w/blade being reworked by a cutler in Ballard and my buddy Kyle asks if I want to throw it in with his knives that he is sending in Benchmade to have sharpened for free. Part of their lifetime warranty. Sure, why the hell not. I'm nothing if not lazy. Get it back and literally the only things the same are the frame and the blade. They replaced every. single. god. damn. part.
Nice. I typically carry a multi-tool rather than a pocket knife but that is some good customer service there.
