Leaves are far more biodegradable than paper, which often contains 20-30% inorganic material. (In addition to which, landfills are crappy for biodegradation.) Burritos are more appropriately composted. And the "granite and limestone" bit is just stupid.
So I'm sure you take care with all your empty beer bottles because if SiO2 escaped into the environment, especially onto beaches, there would be widespread devastation.
