Anyway, Joe started against abortion. Up until recently that was considered decided law. None of those appointments were considered to be effecting the decision of Roe. However, what we do see is when Roe was decided there was a push to ban abortion through legislation, which Joe pushed and voted for. Joe has never evolved on that position or flat out said he was wrong. Up until the recent challenge the decision that a woman had the right to an abortion was considered a lock by most politicians. I agree it wasn't, but I do not think Joe saw any opportunity to overturn Roe by judicial appointment. However, he obviously saw opportunity through legislation, and directly endorsed it. My point is now that he is in charge and is not doing any fighting at all for it, we see that he never really supported abortion at all. A person who supported it would be throwing anything at the wall they could to see if it would stick to help a few women get the medical treatment they need. Joe shook his finger, threw up his hands and said too bad he can't do anything and did not even try anything.

You say the man has made a complete turn around with evidence to the contrary, and I say he has always been against abortion and you cannot rely on a man who has no stake in that medical treatment to make a fight he has always considered morally wrong and has fought against in the past. Your best evidence is he confirmed some democrat judges and nominated one to SCOTUS when he knew it would make no difference, but he would get credit for being progressive.

This is just one of the areas things have gotten drastically worse for the half of the people who are not you who might need this medical procedure for a number of reasons. It is getting worse and he is not doing a thing to stop it. He is not even trying and failing.

They could do something aside from just throw up their hands in defeat. It is our children's access to history and existence that is being changed. It is not like they are removing harry potter. They are removing the atrocities against black people, and pretending gay and trans people do not exist. These are important lessons to learn about and they are being silenced. I want a national education department that is going to say we need to hear the voices of our past victims so we understand what has been done so we never do it again. That is important to me, and it would be great for education. Every great teacher ever has wanted that. It is being pushed back without any resistance as we speak. That is a loss every day.

The president is the one with immediate power to do things for a reason. That is to stand in that gap while the judiciary and legislation have time to get their consensus to do something. This is the reason why we have a singular executive with powers to make immediate reactions. His job is to decide things for the moment so we can make a stop to immediate destruction and danger. The president has powers to regulate education under their administration, and Joe uses none of it. What is the point of having a president if we are only going to wait and see what happens with the courts and legislation?

Obviously there is a huge problem in our election of congresscritters, but the president could be fighting. He could be out there every day screaming for an issue. Trump was doing it. Joe Biden continues us down the road of failure because that is who Joe has always been. America is still suffering. The defeat of Trump did not set things right or even stop the decline. It actually seems to have accelerated the destruction. Joe is doing nothing. He is just collecting his money and making sure his people are going to survive when he has helped sucked the beast dry.

Not sure if you're aware of this, but there were at least a dozen challenges to Roe v Wade that made it to SCOTUS since 1973. In every instance, The Biden confirmed/appointed Justices voted to confirm that women were the best people to determine when they are ready to become mothers.

Edit... Wait... that's not true. He did vote to confirm Antonin Scalia.

And I just want to point out that 3 of the Justice he refused to vote for were actually involved in overturning Roe. (Thomas, Roberts & Alito).

... So I disagree. Biden's votes/appointments for SCOTUS have been extremely impactful on maintaining Roe for 50 years.

I'm just gonna say it... Donald Trump is a fucking moron who did not understand how the government he led works. In his 4 years, he had exactly 1 legislative victory. The 2017 tax cuts. I wouldn't count that as a particularly effective presidency. Loud and obnoxious? Sure. Productive? No.
