Every show's been different.
-Discovery was pretty good for dropping the original and new characters in a timely fashion.
-Lower Decks gave us the characters a year and a half before the show finally dropped.
-Picard played coy right into the middle of season 1. Especially with the Rios holograms, and how many Data's daughter clones were running around.
-Prodigy gave us the characters with no fucking names, and kept holo-Janeway in a bank vault.
-SNW gave us the cast with outright fake character names, and waited for an anniversary convention to reveal Chapel, M'Benga, and Uhura.

So...I dunno.
It feels like it's going to be an SNW situation.

They'll keep a few slots open for the revolving door of redshirts. Or recurring love interests. One of the two.

Still say it's a noteable missed opportunity if they don't bring this dude back

EDIT: or, alternately, has risen to become an instructor by the time of the new series.

What about this s character was so great that it’s a missed opportunity to not bring him back?

The created a whole interesting backstory for him, why use that up on just one episode?

They also gave us a whole Short Trek about Cadet Sidhu, only to never use her again.



There's a lot of underdeveloped nuTrek characters I'd love to see again, even if just in passing. Or maybe we just have to wait for LD:TNG:BYOB

I just wanna give a shoutout to NTSF:SD:SUV, a wonderfully batshit Adult Swim show that starred Rebecca Romijn and Kate Mulgrew. They should have let her play Janeway like this from the very beginning.

Well now. My interest level just went up substantially.

Picard has made me absolutely nauseous about any more classic Trek pandering cameos, but the Doc makes a bit of sense. Hell, it could even be the back up copy from Living Witness rather than our own EMH who made it back to the Alpha Quadrant before the Burn somehow.

Or even just another EMH. It's possible after Voyager made it back that someone decided to emancipate one or all of the miner EMHs from Author, Author and they evolved too.

Picardo in SA:

Wiseman is too busy eating so she’ll only be in a few episodes.

Take out Wiseman and Picardo and then we'll talk.

And Sandro Rosta is the final cadet.
So, that's 6 cadets, 2 teachers, and we're at that magic 7-8 number.

It'd be hilarious if she was playing an Orion, but I wonder if she's allowed to play other green characters. I remember when Bond actors couldn't wear full tuxedos in other productions.

I didn't watch any of the Netflix Marvel shows or Orphan Black.

Orphan Black was amazing. I didn't particularly like the She Hulk show but I loved how much it angered all the incels.

All thus Academy show has to do is cast someone from The Acolyte and we might be rid of @Steal Your Face for good. His heart can only take so much.
