I've been thinking of starting a video review series for a while now, and while it will still be quite some time before I can actually start on it, I figure it doesn't really hurt to get some ideas going for it.

First up, should I keep the anime and movie reviews separate, or should I make an all-encompassing show? My main inspiration for this show is SF Debris in that it would be all voice-over with relevant clips from whatever I'm reviewing and maybe a few images for bits of humor. The main difference is that while SF Debris largely summarizes and makes commentary throughout, I would focus more on review and analysis.

Aside from the format of the show, one of the first hurdles for me is coming up with a name. I kind of suck at coming up with names for things, which is why my text reviews are all called something along the lines of "My Anime Reviews."

Good! I look forward to watching it.

If you're going to develop a succinct individual voice, I vote for having just one label, or at the very least one channel that might then present playlists for anime and movies separately. But the voice should be the main thing. If at some point you feel you have something to say about a game or comic or novel, and bet it only because it relates to some movies or anime you're thinking about, you'll have a venue and hopefully audience ready.

At the end of the day, you do you, and let the title reflect it.

I would keep it all in one channel. There is sufficient overlap between the audience for anime and the audience for movies, plus there might be people who like watching your videos regardless of the subject matter, so it makes sense to make it as clear as possible that both groups of reviews exist. Keep them separate and there will inevitably be people who don't bother reading any blurbs to find out you have more content in a separate channel.

You have an X in your name, I would do something with that because I'm a terrible person. X-tra Awesome Reviews. Anime/Movies to the Power of X. :baba:
