They have several other Beatles covers, I just posted the one I found most interesting/fun. Speaking of unique, here's Walter Murphy & The Big Apple Band - A Fifth Of Beethoven
Crazy Hy's was the best part! There are local TV ads in Augusta that are literally that cheesy and cringe-worthy.
we've had this guy for the last 30 years. dig deep, some of the shit is positively psychedelic... like when he went all techno around y2k then there was this guy... and his dad before him but the best old Ontario commercial series are these
sounds good but now I'll have to check out the original because I am not familiar with too much of Bryan Adams's music.
I had no idea Evan Dando was still alive... the original Glenn Danzig is still alive, but likely wishes he wasn't.
A unique take on this pop song! Piano player doing a great Fats Waller stride style! Call Me Maybe - Vintage Carly Rae Jepsen Cover [The Original Video] feat. Robyn Adele Anderson - YouTube
okay things get weird about 3:37 or so - I don't know what's going on with that! Party Rock - Iraq - YouTube
Holy Diver - Liliac (Official Cover Music Video) - YouTube singer kinda makes me think of Billy Eilish if she ever came out of her coma. Anyway, great cover of a classic song. RJD would be proud.
Now that's a COVER! Bring something new to the table or don't bother. They definitely OWNED that song!
hmmm.....very unique take on a classic. A lot going on musically, stylistically, etc. I'd call it a very successful cover!
awesome! Loving the lyrics down below too. I never could figure out about half of what Freddie was singing in the original.
This one came up on my facebook feed. It's a really good cover or Steppin' Stone by a local LA group call Velvet Starlings
the original Clash version is one of the weaker tracks on their 1978 double LP classic London Calling (who chooses which songs are released as singles?) but regardless this cover is pretty good IMHO. Enjoy!
A few years ago it dawned on me that the vast majority of Yoakam's hits are covers of other artists' songs.
I had no idea he covered so many songs over the years until I started to think about it. Many came and went pretty fast especially as he became less and less popular. His cover of Cheap Trick's "I want you to want me" is terrible IMHO. Then again that song is generic & repetitious in it's original form, so I don't know why he even covered it.
