"We made a blibbety-blobbety, here are a few properties we measured, this is a really awesome thing to research because you can't prove it won't deliver our field of study's holy grail, thanks for the grant money more plz"
I was asking it about my articles in the hope it would confirm my imposter syndrome one way or the other.
"The guy who wrote this definitely isn't an imposter, but if he'd added a bit more carbide and heated it a bit more he'd be accepting a Nobel Prize in about ten years."
just catching up on this. It sounds almost like they have succesfully made the computer version of the telephone game. So AI is acting like real intelligence. Way to go, mankind has fucked up logic. The computer did not burn up like roddenberry said. Instead it turned into a trump supporter. We re-invented stupid. OK, glad I was here for that.
https://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/european-ai-american-list I will say, I think I spotted the perfect avatar for at least one poster here.
Open plan workspaces are awful. Thank god I mostly work from home or, when I do go into the mothership, I have my own office with four walls, a ceiling, a door, and a window with a nice view of Lake Ontario.
Is this version more to your tastes? https://www.trendymatter.com/what-your-state-looks-like-as-a-person-according-to-ai/ I do think that they nailed Florida, though.
Okay most of them are spot on, but I have to quibble with the one for SC. We are a divided state upstate and low country with the capital literally in the middle. College football is a thing, you're either a Clemson person or a Gamecocks person. I grew up in a town that sits on the state line between NC. and SC., I'd say the NC. one fits better with me. The Montana one fits my personality better though and I've wanted to move there since I was in my early twenties.
The article is not nearly as asinine as the headline or the tweet, fortunately. ChatGPT can't do math unless it's seen it done in its training data. The fact that it went from .976 to 1-.976 means something caused a sign inversion somewhere in the vector space. This is probably pretty easy to fix, but the point of the article (though not the headline or the tweet), that implementers need to be on guard for drift in unexpected vector spaces after model tweaking is a very good one.
ChatGPT Means “Kitty I Have Farted” It gets funnier. Essentially, it can be interpreted as being French for queef.
We all know my logic circuits are fucked sometimes, but why is the computer brain doing this interpretive dance when it is a fucking calculator? wouldn't you program it, or at least have it learn to, plug in a math problem into the calculator directly? This seems like shit programming to me. A human intelligence would learn to go to the calculator and plug in the proper things to get the answer. The computer brain should have those functions directly accessible to it. If it doesn't do those things naturally, then what the fuck is the point? We can fuck up without a computer. We do not need to invent a computer that fucks up math. The computer's thought is based on math. If you came up to me with an AI that could not figure out if a number is prime with 100 percent accuracy I would fire you for breaking the machine. What the fuck sort of cruelty to machines is this?
