Try giving up this, right The Founding Fathers knew what they were doing. To those misguided--led astray by rhetoric from groups with an agenda other than stated, misinformed--believe anything uttered by the media or elitists, under educated--small-minded, too lazy to dig for the truth and find it easier to believe a lie, until it’s too late--and prejudiced anti-gun people--won’t believe any different on the subject regardless of the truth--who insist they aren’t. Just a few suggestions, that won’t be offensive if statements made are heartfelt. 1. Just sign a legally binding contract agreeing to give up your constitutional Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. 2. Post a notice to this effect on your domicile--big sign, large print, so it’s easy to see from the road. 3. Have a notice printed in the local and national papers to that effect and include you name and address--come on, don’t be shy; stand up for what you profess to believe in with positive action. 4. Proclaim those actions loudly to anyone within earshot wherever you go. 5. Dispose of all firearms in your domicile or any vehicle to which you have access. 6. Have the number of your local constabulary programmed into your speed dial on the phone or displayed prominently by every instrument. Why you ask? You’re going to need it, because someone will have to investigate, as well as clean up the mess, after the predators arrive, and everything you had or loved is stolen, raped or murdered. Zaffen
Another newb who believes that having guns is the only way to "guarantee" safety. And that walking around unarmed is equivilent to broadcasting vulnerability and/or "asking for" violence to happen to you. Glad I don't live with that type of fear.
Hey I'm all for having a gun in preparation for the impending zombie invasion, but the ZOMG without a gun you will DIEEE and your loved ones will be RAAAAPED is a little old. I don't like propaganda or fear mongering from the side I agree with or the side I disagree with.
I believe that what Zaffen is referring to is the ill-considered policy in some jurisdictions of publishing lists of persons with concealed-carry permits. Zaffen seems to be suggesting that people who believe in the opposite of the right to keep and bear arms should also be required to publically proclaim their unarmed status. Fair's fair, right?
Why not just make a list of all the people not on that list yourself? By knowing who is armed, it should be pretty obvious who isn't. I.e., if you are lookin' for somebody to rape, murder, steal from, etc. just check to see if they're on the list, and if not, you're good to go eh? Not that I agree with such lists.
