There's an incredible amount of laziness in this administration. Most of the time there is no solid policy position. But when there is, you can be sure it's been concocted by Steve Bannon and a group of Breitbart sycophants. If Vice President Pence has any influence President Trump would step down on January 21st, 2019. Thus giving Pence the opportunity to serve ten years. The second longest Presidential administration of any in U.S. history. That assumes Pence could get elected president twice on his own which of course is a major assumption.
If Trump announced he wasn't running for a sevond term does anyone actually think Pence would get the nomination?

I'm hoping he'll quit within the next four days President Pence will be the wet dream for the Dayton types, but luckily, even people in red states like getting abortions and gay marriage and no one wants to be the next North Carolina getting blasted over bathroom bills, so I imagine he'd see some kickback on his social policies. But I'll take a few years of fighting for our rights over accidentally starting a nuclear war, at which point protecting minorities will be the least of our worries.

A border adjustment tax is actually an interesting idea supported by several liberal economists. It simply means that imports get taxed the same rate as domestically produced goods which solved the roblem of corporate tax dodging where companies officially are "headquartered" at a P.O. Box in lichtenstein and instead corporate taxes are due where goods or services are actually sold. Naturally, every corporate tax cheat is against that.
