    Chief O'Brien:
You're not an in-between kind of guy.

    Doctor Bashir:
    What do you mean?

    Chief O'Brien:
Well, people either love you, or hate you.

    Doctor Bashir:
    Really?

    Chief O'Brien:
I mean... I hated you, when we first met.

    Doctor Bashir:
    I remember.

    Chief O'Brien:
    But now...

    Doctor Bashir:
    And now?

    Chief O'Brien:
    Well... now I don't.

    Doctor Bashir:
That means a lot to me, Chief, it really does.

    Chief O'Brien:
Really. Now... and that is from the heart, hm? Mm... I really do... not hate you anymore.

    "super focus on one day"

Is there a reason we should not super focus on a insurrectionist attack on the United States Capitol during a Joint Session of Congress, led by the Vice President of the United States, to ensure the peaceful and orderly transition of power of arguably the most powerful Superpower in the history of humanity? All evils are not equally heinous. I'm sorry. Joey's TV's getting looted is bad, but on a world-wide scale it doesn't warrant a second mention when compared to the tragedy of January 6th. If all of Minneapolis and Portland had burned to the ground, causing a nationwide humanitarian crisis, it would still pale in comparison to the world-wide scale of what the Trumptards insurrectionists did on January 6th.

This wasn't "Orange man bad." This was "Orange man tried, and thankfully failed, to start a Civil War."

To further your point, shit like this is quite often the dress rehearsal for a successful coup later on. And not merely in Germany, but also the rest of the world.

There's a very disturbing pattern where some fuckstick attempts a coup, gets foiled and is treated kindly by the government. Sometime later, either the original perps or people who were influenced by them manage to pull off a successful one. If we don't want to see a repeat of history (and one only needs to look at places like Spain and any of a number of other countries to see a repeat) then we absolutely must focus on this and hold the people responsible accountable for it. Period. Fucking paragraph.

Take Trump, subtract the boorish oaf portions of his personality. Replace it with a modicum of charm blended with just enough charisma to travel in blue collar and white collar circles and we'd be having a totally different conversation....in a FEMA gulag.

We got very lucky this time out, and we might not be so lucky next time. One hopes that our luck will continue to hold until the necessary steps are taken to eliminate the risk of another coup, but I'm not terribly optimistic on that stance.

People are so stupid. They see someone who gets away with shit - important shit, like trump does and they think if they get close with that person then they can get away with shit too. But, in reality, they're the ones who take the fall for those who ... somehow get away with shit.

MyPillow Guy is an Evangelical, and is now using Evangelical preacher-type bullshit in his interviews. Asked if the move to Stop The "Steal" is a spiritual fight:

The evil's revealing itself, alright, but he needs to look closer at the folk he's supporting.

Like most Evangelicals, he just doesn't get the point of religion. They think what they are told about Jesus is fact. They don't get that religion - even Christianity - is a philosophical way of being a good human being. Any "spiritual battles" to be fought, should be internal. and it should all be "beliefs". To call it "truth" defeats the purpose of engaging in religion.

If we all chip in, we could get him to record a shout-out to Castle!

He's asking for $199 per message - cheaper than Trump Jr but more expensive than Gorka or The Mooch.

Journalist tried to create an election fraud lie so obvious that Trump supporters couldn't possibly fall for it. He failed, despite even claiming that the Constitution makes it legal for the MSM to shred Trump ballots and that even the Ten Commandments demand it.

    https://theintercept.com/2021/07/21/election-fraud-trump-preposterous/

However, beyond their lunacy, there is a stark message about the appeal of how they act and how it becomes self-reinforcing:

Sometimes even Trump lets the truth slip out.
Donald Trump has admitted he had no idea how “important” a president really is in a rather revealing interview on Tuesday.

Speaking to Sean Hannity on his Fox News show, the former president – who left office in January 2021 – suggested he expected state officials to run the country instead, rather than him.

While criticizing President Joe Biden, Trump said: “We need a president that’s respected. I have never realized how important, frankly – and it is a horrible thing to say – how important a president, the head of this country is. I thought it would maybe run through bureaucracy, it doesn’t. You need somebody up there that they are going to respect.”
