I didn't even know the opinion had been shifting.

Yes, it had been shifting, which is why most Democrat politicians dropped the issue like a hot potato. Gun voters tend to be one issue voters, and the liberal's gun control position started to risk the loss of the blue-collar union vote. Thus we have Obama and Biden giving photo-ops with a shotgun.

Obama held the shotgun poorly, but he didn't hold it backwards. Thus, he is smarter than I thought.

Shoes - I saw this study the other day. It was encouraging. Of course, when you only look in real America the numbers are even higher. :D

I wish I could believe that this is due to a growing understanding of the nuances of gun rights and gun control.

I do so love surveys conducted with a sample size of 1500 people in a country with over 300 million. Plus, if you read the statistical analysis it would seem that bias immediately enters when they try to randomize things while assuming population is spread randomly over 50 states. In all honesty a truly randomized sample would more often than not leave out certain low population states. Then we do not know how the question is asked. How is gun control presented. Was it asked whether or not they wanted bannings, or did they interpret it as bannings even though one could be just talking about keeping gun s out of the hands of crazies and felons.

I get on the case of most polls like this merely because they do not generally work on an individual basis and are more accurate when you combine the actual polls for a correlated result as I do not feel that a 1500 person sample set with no real accounting for the opinions of those who do not answer the phone would even be reliable to represent NYC, or Atlanta, or Huston, of LA, or miami. Hell, with 1500 people across the US you may not even get a person from one of the big cities in every state. I am actually a bit surprised to hear that for a change people actually did not like the right to bear arms? When did that change? or is the whole survey fucked because it never really had a grasp of where americans stood.

If this is correct I am happy to see black people are arming themselves as it would seem that a few cops need to be shot to learn some manners since their bosses are not doing it. Maybe the next time some cop takes the time to choke some defenseless guy in front of his friends they will shoot the cop for his troubles, and his five friends. Try to find some witnesses then. Perhaps the Bundy terrorists will think twice before going into furguson when the blacks will shoot back. Maybe some chick in college will give a anal lead irrigation to some wannabe rapist.

    That's because we're ready.

The very minute you lot say, "Okay, screw the American people, we'll just --"

The American people will rise up, arm up, storm every building you political hacks are in, and annihilate you.

To every last one. Every single political appointee, in every single building, all across the continent. You all go ahead and betray us, because the instant you do it, we'll all relieve you of your breathing responsibilities.

Probably a better idea for you all to represent our will rather than try to dictate it. But we're not, any of us, banking on you being that smart.

Better idea for you representatives of the people to -- y'know -- represent the people instead of trying to treat us like tax cattle.

But you are all kind of fuckin' stupid, so just in case you remain that fuckin' stupid, we've got weapons with which to storm the various buildings with and come and put you down with. In case you're not smart enough to do as we tell you. Which is your job, to do as we tell you.

Aw, shucks. Did some po-pos die trying to defy the will of the people? Dipshits -- theirs is not to defy the will of the people, is it.

The only rising up Castle ever does is when he renews his membership to chubbyparade.com.

Can you imagine people like him and Dayton really getting off their arses to fight the state? I seriously doubt that, especially since fighting the nation would cut off their living expenses.

I don't know about the methodology of this particular survey, but in general, a sample set of 1,500 isn't bad. With a total voting-age population of 235 million, a sample set of 1,500 gives you a margin of error of 2.53, meaning there's a 95% chance that the actual distribution will fall within 2.53 percentage points of the survey result.

I remember Newsweek running a presidential poll years ago that had a sample size of 80.

If I may reference part of your comment:
If this is correct I am happy to see black people are arming themselves
newsflash! I think they have already undertaken this endeavor in my area - and then some!
BTW allow me to play devils advocate on the last pic. The guy is getting ATTACKED BY A FAX MACHINE! :rotfl:
Sorry but had this robbery gone south I would be firmly in his corner pleading "self defense".
We've all seen Office Space I'm sure.
