It is an immoral and disgraceful act from a man who advocates morality and (supposedly) Christian values. Is it as bad as murder? No. Is it as bad as beating her everyday? No. But is it nonetheless a disgraceful act that is not defend-able? Yes. That is the point you are missing. Quite simply, your wife let you off and now you see it and no big deal. You don't even care what motivated you to do it.
His wife beating has been common knowledge for the TNZ lot for the better part of a decade, at least. He's been trolled a couple times in the past but it's only been the past year that he's started discussing it every time the topic comes up. I'm about as sick of Volpone's rep whining as everyone else, but he has a point in that Dayton certainly learned to put a muzzle on the worst of his stupidity when he got run into the red before.
Volpone most certainly has a point - namely that he's proved yet another facet to Dayton's slimy personality. He didn't go quiet because he had reflected on his behaviour, he just went quite so that the amount of people disagreeing with him wouldn't be visually reinforced. A damage limitation exercise (not that it was much of a success for him). Not going soft on ol' Dayton are we?
If somebody from here called the principal, the biggest reason not to admit it is that it's an act of such extreme douchiness that it should cause the rest of the board to permanently shun them.
While I'd never call a poster's work - that's just bush league - I can't say I feel too sorry for Dayton who puts out all of his info for public consumption and then acts like an asshole intentionally to just about everyone. Personal responsibility, it's a helluva thing.
Come to think of it, who's to say anyone on WF or TK had anyth8ng to do with it at all? Since he uses some variation of Dayton Kitchens at every board he posts at, a curious parent would have no problem tracking him down here.
From the way Dayton describes his principal I think he would approve of everything about Dayton. Calling attention to this board would probably be a boost for him.
Many schools had stopped enforcing the no hats thing before I had graduated in 2004, aside from test days for obvious reasons.
Frankly, how do we know it happened at all? Was there any evidence besides his claim that it happened?
Probably. But all the women's lib in the world won't change the fact that 90% of the time when a man hits a woman, she is much weaker than he is and it makes him look like a complete asshole and douchebag. Now if it's the rare woman who is as strong and powerful as a guy...there is probably less personal shame in a physical fight with her.
Hell my high school had no such policy when I graduated in 1994. In fact, seeing student photos in the various year books in the school library it seems to have never had the policy even when it opened in the mid 1970's.
Yeah. I wouldn't feel sorry for Dayton if it happened again, but I would probably lose respect for whoever did it.
This. Dayton has shown himself again and again to be a lying sack of shit (the most recent example being in this very thread), so I see no reason to believe anyone called anyone.
Nah, fuck him. He's never learned, and there's nothing worse than someone who just won't learn from their mistakes, especially when that someone influences children and is responsible to a wife and children of his own. Anyhow, at least I didn't litter it with shit about autism...
After all the shit he's given me (and you should see some of the stuff he's said to me in PM) he deserves it.
Oh, I'm not worked up. I am enjoying some well deserved schadenfreude and vindication. I think you owe me, and others, an apology for all the denials, the arrogance and countless other claims that you are a skilled "professional educator". [redacted by admin (personal information)]
Oh boy, is it too much to ask for people to show a bit of class? Seriously, what kind of bullshit thought process makes you all think it's okay to celebrate [redacted by admin (personal information)]? You should all feel ashamed for yourselves and might consider apologizing..
