That would actually be a great name for the titular heroine. Be better than Iron Woman or Metal Girl or some such! And regarding Iron Man: This ... and THIS!
Iron Blackwoman: Don't care. Gay Sulu: Don't care. Girl Ghostbusters: Don't care. Transgender Sonic the Hedgehog: Don't care. Lady Thor: Um... Thor is supposed to be the same guy from Norse mythology. Kind of doesn't work if it's not the same guy, and it makes less sense than any other male superhero becoming a woman. What's next, Lady Hercules? Oh wait, they did that. It was called Xena: Warrior Princess, and it was awesome. Had they simply fired that guy from God's Not Dead and hired Lucy Lawless to play Hercules, the show would have been canceled two episodes later. My point is, if I read comics, I'd definitely read a Freyja comic.
The ULTIMATE Black Superhero ... Puts ALL the other superheros to shame, regardless of race/ethnicity/yada yada yada/blah blah blah !
IIRC Pepper Potts has a suit and a Avenger print called U.S.Avengers has another female Ironman. http://www.kotaku.com.au/2016/07/marvels-next-avengers-team-is-gonna-be-as-patriotic-as-hell/
You talkin' 'bout Shaft? He's a bad mutha--- Don't say that! I'm just talkin' 'bout Shaft! Can you dig it?
I thought that was Dolemite? Not that it matters though, The Guy From Harlem would hand both Shaft and Dolemite their asses ten times before either of them realized what happened.
I love when suits make decisions based on racist and bigoted ideology, and the folks they're obviously dissing lap it up instead of taking offense at how stupid they couldn't possibly be (but apparently *are*). [ooh, let's make him black; good idea boss, them blacks/Muzzies/chicks will lap it up.] Anyway, Marvel's sucked since the "ultimates", imo, "real" and "comic books" is a formula much better handled by DC and its success with a very depressing view of humanity (like Nolan batman and Watchmen).
The, e.g., coming soon Ancient Vagina and black Johnny S. and Nick F. disagrees ! Actually, they should've doubled down and made Clea a dude and Doc Strange a homo (but this *is* Disney after all). [Don' you worry, though, can Pedo-hero be more than decade away?]
That's very close to the current Thor series. The female main protagonist is another person; the Odinson, previous Thor, is still around, and that's one part of the plot. I won't spoil who the new Thor is, as it's a major plot point as well, but while it isn't Freya, it's at least as good a choice. And Freya plays a major role too.
I stopped buying all my Marvel titles almost two years ago . . . I thought the whole line was going in the wrong direction. And Thor was one of the main reasons. I just find the "hero can no longer be the hero/lost his or her powers" storyline to be the most tedious plot in comics.
With the piece @Kuranes posted I am pretty sure that comes from having a white nerd try to think up what a woman would say. If they are going to do the girl thing they need to hire some girls to do the dialoge. Over in Japan there are a lot of women working in the manga industry, and it shows when you actually have female customers. Disney actually uses women also. You are not going to get realistic women from a mind that is focussed on a male superhero. I am not saying the guys are bad, just that they have no clue how to write a woman beyond your semi nuanced damsel in distress. It is also why comics stay in an immature state despite being able to go much further. It seems women go for animation more than comics when getting into the industry here in the states. Shows made by women get the comic as an afterthought rather than the precursor.
In related news, apparently Takei agrees that the WF lib-consensus probably has their collective heads up their asses about ret-conning history to pander, insult intelligence of, and o/w find a way to shoe-horn (i.e shove down our throats) modern libs sensibilities about how things should have been done in a perfect rainbow world. Bring on the RayPedoMan!! Can molest a child in the school playground from across town $&*#^% pucker up baby boy!!
Speaking of wimmin in comics, you should see the many tits that adorn the covers of Spiderman magazine, fucking porn for the fanbois as always, 'cept it's gotten a *lot* better. Eccentric S., I now see why you had those animated porn shots in your bedroom, those empowered cartoon women are as hot as hell and fill me with awe and respect for the role of chicks in comics - I'm glad that old dude Ancient One was changed to the Ancient Vagine. I totally get now how important black and/or woman heroes are as role models for disguised and subtle and benign racism and bigotry. I mean, it's okay when you do it with a good cause in mind.
Nah, been busy selling comics into what I believe is very frothy market, heading toward full bubble (thanks to movie hype and speculation). The rest is just disbelief that libs can honestly be so blind to the implications of so many developments over past years as the every-child-gets-a-trophy phenomena. Armchair sociology isn't just for desiccated cunts; this place cracks me up, sometimes I just forget to share the humorous aspects and leave only the nasty bits.
Curious how it's the all the billy big bollocks types who are also middle aged comicbook collecting nerds.....
^Geez, dude, from you that's pretty rich. Any pejorative epithet of which you could possibly conceive probably applies ten-fold to you compared to any other member (aside from those at your bottom-level like dinner and dayton). To the WF world not as self-deluded as chump, I present one result of many after google image "Campbell spiderman cover". Empowered women indeed (hint, you can tell it's spiderman because of the web).
The Wordforge billionaire, reduced to selling his comic collection? No wonder you're so bitchy lately.
What are you talking about dipshit? - was French your first language? Because your reading comp in English is quite poor if that was your read of the plain words on the page. [Besides, go and read a scrooge mcduck; how many hours of the day can one sit around counting and stacking their krugerrands anyway?]
If you don't recognise what that cover quotes and why, it is indeed high time for you to sell off your comics.
