This actually brought me to tears- I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I guess, better late than never. For all that his guy did for the cause- by his own admission, he killed over 1200 people. You shouldn't have to have a child die in your arms to realize how fucked up that all was. In anyone's book, he's a mass murderer. At least he has some fucking remorse.

Anyone can say some stupid fake shit on Facebook and morons will lap it up. It doesn’t take a lot to convince idiots of what they already want to believe. It’s like setting gasoline on fire.

I don't see "destroyed" in that video. i see the same rhetoric that's been out in the conversation for decades which even if you take it as a fully credible account, is always used to forward the narrative that this is what all abortions are like.

Which it is not. It says nothing about the rate at which such occur, or why, are any other objective bit of data. He told us he had an emotional experience that changed his point of view. I respect that. it does not however write a blank check to impose that conclusion on others who may not share it or who may, but have other more pressing concerns.

Government policy should not be driven by emotion to the exclusion of facts. If it is involved at all it should work in conjunction with the facts: for example we can note that factually keeping kids in cages accomplishes no legitimate purpose of government nor even the illegitimate goal stated...AND be horrified that anyone would ever consider it.

The only folks who watch this video and conclude abortion was "destroyed" are experiencing confirmation bias.

Whatever horror stories are told in the video... abortion is legal and should remain so. (Though the very concept of legal abortion up to the moment of birth some nowadays argue for is disgusting. The German model of legal abortion until the 12th week is fine by me.)

Abortion is not a good thing. It should be safe, legal and rare. But if you're referring to abortion doctors as mass murderers, then fuck you.

It's amazing how some people can be pro-life on one hand and turn around and be against legislation to provide a living wage to all workers and programs to help the poor people... so that fewer people would feel the need to get abortions. "Pro-life" shouldn't stop once you leave the hospital facility.

A friend of mine visited Iceland. Abortion there is very, very rare, as are shotgun marriages because the help provided to new parents is such that you don't need to rush out and marry a complete loser to raise a baby.

Lots of medical procedures are visually and conceptually unpleasant, but that doesn't necessarily speak to their morality or necessity.

1) You assume that innocent life of an infant (or unborn one anyway) is the same as that of a person who is poor. Most people are poor in part at least due to poor lifestyle choices.

2) You assume that most women get abortions for economic reasons. This is not true.

While no one would want someone to "marry a complete loser" …...apparently they have no problems with someone having sex with a complete loser in the first place. .

You're right about #2. Sometimes, women get abortions because it's safer than getting beaten by parents for having had teh evul premarital secks or they don't want to be chained forever to a rapist.

Dunno about anyone else, but I don't have a two layer vetting process on the morality of a one night stand.

But even there, sometimes shit shakes out in the wash the longer you know someone. My mom was sick of my dad, and she honestly never should've made any attempt to marry him. Thank God her vainglory kneejerk pride ended that shit. I just feel bad for the other three suckers he did get hitched to.

Every time anti-abortion arguments come up I think about the absurdity of enforcement. Are you going to have law enforcement at every doctors office? Are you going to conduct raids of women's health clinics? Will the penalty be life in prison? What about the preacher who quietly sends his 16 year old daughter to get an abortion. Is he an accessory to murder?

Not at all. You simply don't allow the clinics to be opened in the first place. If anyone needs an abortion for medical reasons they can get it at a hospital. Plus you penalize the doctors who perform any elective abortions.

1) Very few pregnancies are the result of rape. though the "rape & incest claim" remains the holy grail for pro abortion rights people.
2) The majority of women who have an abortion are adults.

Not following your lines of reasoning there. My future wife and I were together for about three years before we decided to get married. And after getting married we tried for about a year before she became pregnant. Our only regret is that we never had a second and third child.
