This isn't the Revenge Of The Sith thread. You want to go back to 2005. When the board didn't exist. So....gonna be kinda tricky.
Gosh, did I get an abbreviation wrong from a movie I haven't even seen? Golly, you've sure put one over on me. You win, Feminist Dayton.
If you want to continue this, feel free to contact me via PM. Otherwise, I suggest you get back on topic. This thread is not the place for your trolling. This is the last time I'll respond to you on this diversion.
Admins. There’s no mod for this forum. We’ve asked, and nobody wants the gig. So tag somebody like @shootER and complain to him.
Anyway, it's all fine and good that there's some explanation for Palpatine's return out there--not that it's a good or coherent one--but the movie still doesn't get a pass for omitting it.
Yeah, their excuse is that it would have bogged down the pacing, but.."yeah, I clone every now and then", would have taken too long?
I guess they had to go somewhere after TLJ took such a left turn. To me, aside from the Resistance (Rebellion??) being smashed, TLJ felt like an ending. So, they had to bring Palps back somehow. But, this time he's dead. For realsies this time. We really mean it. Honest.
Sexbot's being a twat? Wow. Didn't see that coming. And that's the sort of feature you'd actually want in a sexbot.
So if Palpatine has been making clones of himself this whole time what was the point of Snoke? Why didn’t Palpatine himself just take control of the remnants of the Empire? Or is Snoke just a deformed clone of Palpatine with a different identity?
What? Palpatine is supposed to be her grandfather. This has got to be some of the worst story-telling I've ever seen.
Maybe it’s like how Boba Fett considers Jango Fett to be his dad even though they are genetically identical. But yeah they didn’t think any of this thru very well. I feel bad for the poor shmuck they got to write the novelization. He has to try and make sense of all this.
Dear Star Wars, When you finally figure out what the overarching story of your saga is, kindly make another fucking movie and explain it. Signed, Depressed on Dantooine
If Lucasfim can't keep the story straight from movie, to visual dictionary, to novel....then that means it's all up for grabs, and I'll go with my head-canon. Palpatine is in his original ROTJ body, he's radiation burned, and the bald chick from Revenge Of The Sith is Rey's grandmother. Bam, see how easy? *Pantomimes dusting off hands* And that's done. *Crosses arms smugly*
