I think you may be overestimating the amount of attention some voters pay Trump.

I’m seriously spending about 1/10 of what I used to on Amazon these days. Amazon is now where I go to find something I can’t find in a couple different stores.

Unfortunately Amazon (AWS) makes more profit off providing the backbone for everyone else to enshitify than their other services so that won’t likely change any time soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is part of Trump's base that would be resistant to voting for him if he were to pick a woman VP.

But I'd guess that there are more people who have held their noses to vote for Trump in the past and probably more in the future. I think such nose holding was easier in 2015 and 2020 than it will be in 2024, between J6, Roe being overturned, the E. Jean Carroll verdict, the possibility of criminal convictions, and some time/space to evaluate how Trump's actual job performance was not particularly impressive.

I suspect for a group of voters, a woman VP is enough of a veneer that it will work. Even moving the needle by 1 percent in some states could be the difference between winning a tight state and losing.

I am pretty sure anyone voting for him is going to not vote for him because she shot a dog. This is not a group of people with any standards. OTOH if Joe Biden downed his SS biting mongrel in a gravel pit I am pretty sure the Biden Bros would tell us all how it had to be done and was a humane way to dispatch a violent dog.

Let us face it, Trump is just having the women in his party audition for the role because it makes him feel more powerful and manly. I really do not think he is going to pick a woman as his back up. Especially not after being dragged over the coals in a civil rape trial, criminal trial about paying hush money to his mistress, and after multiple female AGs and prosecutors get done giving him the business.
