Having them as unsecured e-mails is a thousand times worse. US intelligence has said that it's a virtual certainty that China, Russia, Iran, and/or North Korea hacked Hillary's illegal and unsecured server, so she was in effect giving top secret US intelligence to our enemies. The various agencies are still conducting a review of the damage to national security. Sandy Berger's pilfered documents didn't leave Sandy Berger.

Whether they hacked it or not is worth investigating. But calling it illegal when it absolutely is not, that's lying. Again.

You didn't read the story in the Washington Post, the same paper that brought down Nixon? And of course there's the two Inspector Generals who are conducting a review, along with many calls to launch a criminal inquiry.

Of course back in March Hillary claimed "I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email, I'm certainly well aware of the classified requirements and did not send classified material." That was obviously a lie. The DNI says she sent what appears to be at least hundreds of e-mails containing classified information, including secrets from five different government agencies.

18 U.S. Code § 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material

(a) Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.​

(b) For purposes of this section, the provision of documents and materials to the Congress shall not constitute an offense under subsection (a).

(c) In this section, the term “classified information of the United States” means information originated, owned, or possessed by the United States Government concerning the national defense or foreign relations of the United States that has been determined pursuant to law or Executive order to require protection against unauthorized disclosure in the interests of national security.​

She still has the e-mails containing classified information, in clear violation of 18.1924, and can be sent to federal prison for it.

Okay, explain to me why when subpoenaed by Congress she denied having any classified e-mails, which was a lie.

Why, when she turned over that tiny percentage of e-mails, did she print them out and turn over only the paper copies? Why would anyone do that? She had them on a computer, she could have just forwarded them or handed over a memory stick, something easily searchable, but she didn't. She handed over a couple boxes of hard copies that she had her unpaid interns print out.

Why, when she turned over a tiny percentage of her e-mails, did later subpoenas reveal that she edited the e-mails she had turned over? Editing e-mail evidence is tampering with evidence, and her case it's evidence tampering before the US Congress. Why would she do that if she's not hiding things, a great many things?

And yet she's trying to hide behind the State Department, bemoaning the delays and saying they should expedite the release - of her e-mails which are all on a memory stick (illegally) in the possession of her lawyer (also illegal).

I'll give Jindal this...he's the most physically attractive of the Republican line-up.

Republicans are wasting their time trying to hurt Hillary Clinton with a "scandal" like this. Sure it wasn't fair that David Petraeus got nailed for something similar but that's often the way things work.

Petraeus deliberately and knowingly leaked specific classified information to a woman, his mistress, writing a biography about him. That's not the worst offense in the world given how over-classified a lot of materials are, but it's surely an order of magnitude more serious than anything Clinton's been at all credibly accused of.
