Posted on FB by someone I went to high school with: "I'm voting for Trump because he'll close the border [I doubt she's ever been south of New Jersey] and because kids these days are rude and people in Brooklyn don't know how to use their turn signals."

She put them on a memory stick, which she refused to give to the State Department or to Congress. Instead she gave the memory stick full of classified information to her lawyer, who still has it. Then she gave the State Department only some of her e-mails, in print form, in boxes, making them extremely hard to search. Yes, she trying to obstruct the investigation. But she didn't just hand the printed copies of her e-mails over, she edited out parts of them that implicated her associates in business deals they were trying to pull off in Libya. When Congress got Sydney Blumenthal's copy of those same e-mails, they realized "Hey, these are different versions of the same e-mail. Hillary's version has had major deletes." Yes, that's called "tampering with evidence", and it is a serious crime.

And of course why would she delay, obstruct, and tamper with evidence? To hide the big crimes involving collusion, corruption, kickbacks, and selling US foreign policy to the highest bidder. For example, the IRS was investigating a Swiss bank and was pressuring Switzerland to release information on tens of thousands of US citizens who had Swiss bank accounts. So the Swiss bank paid Bill $1.5 million dollars for a speech and then started donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and, what do you know, the IRS investigation went away under pressure from the State Department.

Well, she's one of those women who refers to her Yorkies as her "children." What can I tell ya?

I'm kind of disappointed Rick Perry didn't make the cut. He was pretty entertaining last time, from a sheer mangling-the-English-language perspective.

There should be a debate made up of the candidates who provide the most unintended comedy.

Well, there's supposed to be a pre-debate debate, with those who didn't make the cut, so he'll still get to massacre the English language.

I can sort of see him as an indian Jeff Goldblum. BTW I can't watch the pushup contest (or any video) right now. So were they doing by-the-book military pushups or motel pushups? That's what separates the men from the boys!

I'm not familiar with the term motel pushup, but I would hope the military wouldn't consider what he did to be acceptable. I don't think his chest ever came within six inches of the ground, and his elbows never bent more than about a third of the way. They were not pushups at all in my opinion. They also kept cutting to views of awestruck fans in the crowd. No doubt he wasn't actually doing these "pushups" for the entire length of time implied by the video.

I thought the debate was a total disaster. Nobody won, everybody lost. That was my take on it. Totally embarrassing...

A "motel pushup" is generally when you are running out of steam trying to do a lot of pushups at a time. Your body sags like you are fucking the floor and your arms are barely bending and you are huffing and puffing and sweating and.....you get the idea. But you are correct - NOBODY was doing proper pushups in that contest! Some folks wouldn't go down far enough, some folks wouldn't come back up far enough to lock out their arms......some backs weren't straight the whole time, etc. Another exercise people don't do right? Chinups/pullups. They swing their bodies, don't come down all the way before they go back up, etc. Do them nice and slow with proper form and you will really feel your body working.

In retrospect, yeah, especially since he's trying soooo hard to look white.

Now, Rubio's a cute-looking kid, and I'm sure women who like that boyish look will vote for him for the same reason that the Stoopids voted for Palin and Bachmann. The Nixon/Kennedy debate sealed that demographic.

Who was it that said Doinald trump would go way over the top at the debate so that all the other candidates could denounce him and pretend they were on the side of brown people, or immigrants, or gays, or WOMEN? It is clear Donald is now embodying the whole war on women while no one else changes their position on abortion, birth control, pay rates, sexism, or any of the other ways old white christian sexists, or as we call them republicans, continue to at6tack women. They can all come out now and say how horrible donald trump is for attacking uncle tommette megyn kelly over her period. It is almost like I was completely correct or something. Now every time someone points out megyn kelly has attacked women with this sort of bullshit before they are going to be labelled sexist by the right wing lie machine. I bety Gturner is already claiming he loves the women he wants to rape because he said donald trump was mean to her. The professional victim society at faux news gets to pretend trump attacked them while continuing to support blatant sexists like hannity, ducey, orielly, and the endless array of blonde fimbows lead by stepford wife megyn. I do not hear any of the right bitching when Rush Limbaugh says similar things every day. Then again, Trump is being portrayed as a faux news attacker while Rush is their fat blubbery love sponge.

It is only starting people, and even donald said he was not going to run third party which is pretty much what I said. Oh, and let us not forget the racket Chump is creating is distracting from the insanity spouted by the rest of the clown car and kiddie table.

That is if you believe the myth that the media is all liberal. It is just a hog wash claim, of course, but every time Republicans make it their simpleton followers listen to reality based news less and less while the reality based news gets more and more gun shy and so never challenges Republicans on the bull shit preferring to handle them with kiddy gloves so they don't get accused of bias. This is exactly what Republicans want so they keep doing it.

Where this bites them in the ass is that their base is now completely disconnected from reality and believe all sorts of insane factually untrue things are actually true. It becomes extremely hard to have effective policies when everyone of you positions are based upon factually untrue beliefs but that is where Republicans now find themselves.

I asked her what I usually ask the hysterics in this forum: Can she prove her Italian ancestors arrived here legally (yanno, under their real names, and not with forged documents, etc.)?

I have a friend from high school who's very conservative.

He activates and deactivates his Facebook page constantly because he can't deal with people who have opinions that are contrary to his (very) conservative ones.

He just recently reopened his Facebook account after shutting it down around the time of the marriage equality ruling. We actually exchanged some...tense...texts regarding the issue.

His recent posts have to do with the Confederate flag, Cecil the lion, and a few other topics. His opinion isn't in the mainstream on any of those topics.


We're supposed to go dove hunting next month.
