A question about a report I sent in.

Ok, so in the Green room I started a thread about a book I bought and an author's speech I attended who is a holocaust survivor. The thread was going fine until El Chup barged in with a post saying:

1. I am not racist as opinions about religion are about religion not race.

2. I simply ignore Chup because he routinely lies and trolls so I decided he was not worth bothering with. Ignoring someone is hardly a grudge.

3. Again, this was in the green room where no trolling is supposed to be allowed.

The very first rule in the faq says:

El Chup's post was certainly hostile and insulting calling me a racist out of the blue. So it is clear he was making a deliberately hostile or provacative post aimed at upsetting me and eliciting an angry response. So this should be a clear cut slam dunk for Chup trolling outside the red room.

Yet instead of a mod enforcing the clear cut rules all I got was an anonomous alert message saying my report had been rejected. I am kind of curious as to why and who rejected it? Can someone please clear this up for me?

I rejected it. I don't need to explain why.

Well, this is the first I saw anything about this, as the report was made and closed while I was off-line. Yeah, it's borderline in my opinion, but such sniping has taken place all over this board since the beginning of time. How is it any different from Dinner calling Chup a liar in this thread?

Technically, it was a thread about a book. A book written by a holocaust survivor, which I own, have been reading, and went to a speech by the author. It seems like El Chup could have been civilized and obeyed the no trolling or flaming outside the red room rule but he chose not to do so.

I agree and that's why I rejected it.

That was what his flaming and trolling was. How am I supposed to describe his offense without describing it? You really are trying to find ways to weasel out of enforcing the rules against posters you like, aren't you?

It is perfectly obvious you people wanted to roll it under the rug and ignore it from the beginning and that is why the report was rejected. If you folks had done your job and actually enforced the rules fairly then this thread would never have been needed. That is why you are trying to conjure up a reason after the fact.

You forget that I am related to people who died in the Holocaust. I find your racism and bigotry disgraceful, which is the very reason I found your thread offensive. On one hand pretending to show compassion for a great wrong in history that was based on religious and ethnic profiling, and then on the other promoting religious, xenophobic and ethnic stereotyping on the board on a near daily basis. People in my family died because of the very kind of hate you promote. Get that through your skull. It doesn't matter how many times you call me a liar or click a neg rep. That people related tome died because of the kind of hate you promote will still be a fact.

Calling you a racist is not trolling or flaming because it is fact. It is the same as if you sued me for defamation tomorrow for calling you it. You'd lose because your bigotry is overt - and simply because the likes of gturner promote the same rhetoric, it doesn't mean it's not bigoted. I wouldn't withdraw the label inn our out of the Red Room, even if I were banned from the board. It is the fact of what you are.

Every other board I post at doesn't tolerate racism, even one with less rules than this one. You can defend that as being true, but then that opens up people labeling you a racist, since that is without question true. I described what he did. One simply cannot be a racist for speaking out against a religion. That is a fact. Also, stop using that as your excuse since Chup's crimes existed days before this thread.

Shooter was even more obvious saying he didn't care because due to the posters involved. If any of you had done the job of a moderator, instead of rejecting a report out of hand due to who made it, then Chup would have received a friendly warning and that would have been the end of it.

Maybe you should follow their lead, then. But anybody who pays attention knows you are full of shit, which is why only John Castle ever ran afoul of ownership. But if you think you are being treated unfairly, you are under no obligation to continue posting at Wordforge.

We don't give very many warnings around here at all. If we did, the ongoing Chup/Dayton feud would've generated enough of them to get both posters banned.

Mods: We won't take action.

Start thread about not taking action on flagrant rules violation

Mods: We won't take action due to something lame and completely unjustified in the thread where you point out the flagrant rules violation. (You described the rules violation therefor that is some how a violation)

Can you be any more transparently obvious about you bias? Seriously, why should anyone take your moderation as nothing but partison fuckwaddery?

If you had any integrity, and I mean any what so ever at all, you would have taken action with Chup's flagrant, absolute, completely obvious, slam dunk rules violation when he both flamed and trolled outside the red room.

I would never have needed to start a thread about why you refused to so the most basic part of your self declared job. And the problem would have simple been handled with a friendly warning. Instead we got this clusterfuck of late justification for misbehavior by the mods.

@Dinner, this is an adult, internet message board. Yes, there are rules outside the Red Room. However, that does not protect you from your own stupidity. In this case, El Chup is correct. Your hypocrisy toward religion is beyond any thinking person's ability to ignore. And he called you on it.

Instead of whining about "rules" in an arena that only exists because we want it to, perhaps you should instead think about what Chup is trying to tell you - as well as, most likely, the author of that book. The people who initiated the holocaust didn't do so arbitrarily. They honestly thought the Jews were a threat. The same way you look at Muslims.
