Can't believe you fuckers ain't all over this. Not gonna quote the news stories as there are so very many and few give all the details. Basically, the oldest son of the Duggar family - of "19 Kids and Counting" tv show fame - and as of Thursday morning a top lobbyist for the Family Research Council has admitted that when he was 14 he molested 5 pre-teen girls including at least 3 of his sisters. Apparently one of those being the one that was 4/5 at the time. Josh Duggar's admission, according to a 2006 police report that just came to light thanks to a tabloid, involved fondling some of his sisters and apparently a babysitter while they slept in 2002, this was eventually reported to dad who "disciplined" him, it was reported again in 2003 after an incident which, reading the redacted report, looks very much like he touched the little one in front of witnesses. After this Dad went to the elders of his church and etc etc but the only cop he went to was a family friend who filed no report (said cop later imprisoned on child porn charges) finally, after an accidental event in which an uninvolved party came across proof of what happened, word got around to the cops again who compiled the report that's in the news. sadly, the statute of limitations at the time was 3 years and had expired. No charges ever filed and it's remained buried until now. Here's the tabloid story that broke the news: http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/...leged-sex-offenses-for-more-than-a-year-58906 Here's the FoxNews initial report: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/05/21/josh-duggar-resigns-from-family-research-council/ Here's a link to the redacted report: http://imgur.com/a/zqPMi#14 (interestingly, an Arkansas judge has ordered all copies of the original to be destroyed on the request of one of the victims who didn't want her identity known, presumably the non-sister since there were five living sisters at the time and only one of them small, it's hard to conceal identities in that circumstance) Here's a blogger that neatly summarizes the story, quoted below: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/lovejo...know-about-the-josh-duggar-police-report.html Obviously Duggar resigned his job with the assholes notorious for implying that all LGB/T people are potential ...child molesters. And lest we forget, his Mom recorded a robo-call attacking an equal protection ordinance in Fayettville AR which pretty overtly suggested all trans people were potential molesters, while knowing full well she'd raised one herself. As Willie Nelson once sang, looks like a little ol' fashioned karma comin' down.
I would imagine if you role the dice enough times you would get a molestor or serial killer in there. You couple that with wackydoodle religious beliefs and the influence of reality TV and I am really not that shocked. I actually expect it in a family like that. They should have been watching better.
And of-course, the mind goes "if he did it with his sisters, is there a possibility he did it to his daughters"...
You don't know much about Arkansas. IIRC, the area the Duggar's are from is one of the wealthiest areas in the United States.
Not surprising. Many of these extremist "Christians" have disdain for the actual authorities and would rather deal with these issues through their church cult. If TLC had cajones they would cancel the show.
Inexplicably, my daughters watch that show (they also watch the Kardashian shit, even though they loathe them). That family has always creeped me the hell out. I always suspected there was something like this brewing with them, but I figured it would be the dad who turned out to be a perv. But...who's to say that he isn't and it just hasn't come out yet?
19 kids and counting - the Christian version of the Jerry Springer show. Nope, never watched it, and it doesn't surprise me that there's a massive flaming douchhole in the center of it causing a controversy, one dripping in hypocrism. You kind of expect it in train wrecks like that. But assuming people watch it? In my life, that's fucking weird.
And a reality show about a well adjusted family comes along and we mock it! Well at least there isn't any kiddy diddling going on...............oops, never mind! http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...bed-with-convicted-sex-offender-uncle-poodle/
P.S. - Fuck the Duggers, fuck TLC, and fuck anyone who believes that "letting Christ into your heart" somehow redeems you from being a piece of shit.
I hate to disappoint you, but I don't think you're Dayton's type, so he's unlikely to take you up on the offer.
Disgusting. I figured something would pop off in that family. I mean, I had odds on the eldest daughter maybe being a closeted lesbian since she's 25 and still not married, but this is sad more than anything. I hope his wife takes the kids they do have and run.
sexually repressive parenting is at least 50% responsible. The other 50% is that he's fucked in the head.
There are people on Facebook going "Leave him alone! God has forgiven him!" Personally, I'm more interested in whether the women he molested as little girls have forgiven him. It's a pretty fucked-up religion that prioritizes a third party's forgiveness above that.
How does someone know if a supposedly higher deity has forgiven someone? Do these stupid fucks have a sit down with this higher deity every morning? Does he tell them, "I forgive his ass he's good to go, he only diddled his sister when she was little. But that dude over there, he doesn't believe in me, so his ass is going to hell." Now that is a fucked up religion where someone can go around scarring and fucking up little kids for life and as long as they say "I'm sorry, the devil made me do it." they're good to go, but if you don't believe in something then you're the bad one.
the statements say they have, they told the police in 2006 they felt safe, but given that the parents strictly regulate every aspect of their public image, there's no way to know if it's sincere or if the girls ever got any effective counseling.
Do you have a link for that? I'd like to share it, but all I can find is that they've pulled the show from their schedule, which isn't the same thing as cancelling it (though that could be the channel's next move).
