From TBBS: We obviously sparred through the years but I am very saddened to hear this. She was a great sport and a very intelligent woman. I wish her remaining family nothing but the best. Rest in Peace, you were a worthy adversary.
RIP. She maintained a good sense of humor against the backdrop of all the crazy and I wish I had gotten to know her better as a real person. I hope that friends and foes alike can be reasonably respectful in her passing.
Fuck. Margaret was a good friend for a lot of years. We were going to meet up for lunch the last time I was in SoCal, but covid took care of that and we agreed it would have to wait until next time. Godspeed Margaret.
Fuck. We never met IRL, but she was one of the few people that cared enough to reach out after my mother died. Fuck.
If there was anyone on this board who is on the "other side" from me who I would have ever called "friend" (not that she's the only one, mind you), it would have been Margaret for sure. Ouch, man, this really stings.

Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, hers was the most...Boomerish. First online death I've been legit bummed at in a while. We've had a few good conversations over the years, since the TBBS days.
Fuck, that's a kick to the gut. I'm very glad to have met her whilst on my travels. She had quite a personality. Wordforge will never be the same again.
Mira Furlan put this up on Facebook shortly before her death a few weeks back. Seems appropriate here, too.
Her last post here was March 22nd. We need to check in on each other more. 3 days, and your cat will eat your face if you've fallen down the stairs or slipped in the bath.
After the whole Hormone blocker thread went on for a few days--with some Peak Tererun posting--I actually checked Wikipedia to see if she'd passed (I'm morbid and have a lot of free time at work). It's not updated yet but I can't believe she actually died. Hopefully she didn't suffer and was at peace.
