No one, anywhere in the decision making process, thought this might be a bad idea? This is the same sort of people you want managing your health care? Oh lawd.
Because accountants determining whether you should be eligible for a procedure or medicine is a better way?
In the event you ever need anything other than the occasional check-up, you'll learn just how much the accountants and the actuaries think you're worth, no matter how much you pay in premiums.
Well you don't have to convince me to hate insurance companies. I started hating all of them equally when my car got hit by an illegal alien, I had full coverage and it still took me over 3 months for them to finally pay for the damages. They knew it wasn't my fault and even though the illegal had no insurance they still wanted his insurance company to pay for it. So I had never had any incident at all and had always paid my premiums in full and on time, but when it came down to it, they didn't want to do their part.
I mean really...who runs this shit? Who pulls the strings to even attempt something like this? FEMA has to be trying to fuck things up. FEMA must be some fake organization just to deduct off someone's taxes or something. It's amazing.
Is this one of those things you have to see to get? Because I'm not feeling 'give a fuck'. Seeing how everyone thinks it's bad, I know I should, but...
Even more disconcerting is the way we all take this news in stride. It doesn't even make us bat an eyelash- what does that say about our government?
It was a really dumb move by appointees. These are people who serve at the President pleasure much like the appointees in the US Attorney's office. Does anyone think that if these people are fired the Congress will put on the same tap dance they did with other appointees who have been released?
I blame Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. Oh, and Harry Reid. Hey, we might as wel get it out of the way.
Just because you chose a lousy insurance company doesn't mean they're all bad. When someone ran into my wife's car at 5:30 PM on a Friday, the car was at the bodyshop the next business day, and was completely fixed in about 7 business days. No insurance adjuster ever looked at it, I only had to write a check for the deducible, and, in the end, it didn't cost us a penny, since the insurance company recovered the entire deductible from the other guy. Towing was also covered.
That's the thing about private insurance, you have choice. Numerous options and the power to go elsewhere if you have a bad experience.
