Last time I touched a manual stick-shift I was 8. Then we had to get a new car (idiot messed up the brushes in the engine and couldn't fix it without bankrupting the bank so the repair got the car and we got an automatic)

About 8,000 at present, but the tide is turning: Rather than growing, my bookcase has been shrinking over the last few years, as more resources become available online or on kindle. (Though I suppose you might want to count books I own on kindle as well?)
