Five days and counting. Let's hear the speculations, people! - Is the samurai on the hill Nakamura Senior? (George Takei) - Will we see either of the Petrelli brothers this year? - Will we see Claire the Cheerleader in a lesbian kiss (you'd better rep me for that, Baba) Discuss.
^Oh hey, thanks for the spoilers instead of speculation. We have the spoiler tags for a reason... But I was coming into this thread to say that I'm a little weary because it seems like the producers have added a ton of new people to the cast (not sure of the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure it was a lot). Some might be minor characters, but it just seems like there's a point when it's too much. Hell, they might just end up killing them all off like on Lost. And I could be totally wrong, and they could all work really well for the show.
The way I understand it, fans will vote on their favorite new character at some point, and that one will go on to be a regular.
Huh, wait, I thought there was supposed to be some summer miniseries? Did I miss that? What's the deal with that?
^Instead of having a break before May sweeps with either reruns or no new episodes, there's going to be a six-week miniseries called "Heroes: Origins" featuring new characters, and at the end of that, viewers will be able vote one of the characters from that onto the regular series.
Tomorrow is the first time in a long time I'm gonna be up for three hour long shows in a row, but both Chuck (mainly due to Adam Baldwin) and JourneyMan look worth checking out. OTOH, bbesides NBC Mondays, the only other thing that demands my attention is Bionic Woman.
Quick review... "Chuck" was fair...tongue not far enough in cheek and Baldwin sadly underused. If they play it like Greatest American hero it will be pretty cool....if they play it like Alias or something it might not work.
Okay...did Nakamura say "Now there are nine" after saying that Linderman, Dad Petralli, and some other guy were dead? Good set up! I liked it...trying not to say too much spoilerish...
Quantum Leap with brains, complexity, and three deminsional characters. For a non-space based show, this was as close to pure Twilight Zone SF as I've seen on network TV in a long time. Not sure they can keep it up but I thought they did a damn good job tonight.
Not me. Now that The 4400 and The Dead Zone are in hiatus....and with Lost not on til January, there are a total of 4 shows on my calandar. I might check out Sg:A to see how they use Jewel Staite but otherwise.... Not to say there aren't shows I enjoy if I get a chance to see them like My Name is Earl...but appointment TV? Just 4 hours. And Chuck needs to pick up, or it's down to three.
I was distracted while i was watching Heroes, so i missed a lot of what was going on, but it looked good. I was also rather impressed by Journeyman
As always, it was detail heavy so you will probably have times in the coming weeks when you say "Wait! when did that get mentioned?"
Wife and I are plowing through Heroes season 1 on DVD while the cable DVR stores up the new S2 episodes.
Great start to the new season. For some reason i was expecting s2 to be very different from s1. But it followed on nicely
I guess I was right to assume that I wouldn't like the new people. Some Hispanic brother and sister, a Last Samurai ripoff, and a creepy peeping Tom. Actually, the only new guy I liked/liked to hate was the Copy Kingdom manager. And I was glad to see an appearence from everyone's favorite hero:
It may be re-run Saturday night on NBC. NBC is using a rare rule that if you replay a show w/ the exact same ads soon after the original airing they can add together the ratings in order to inflate the ratings.
