If she wasn't bi or Lesbian, then the whole idea of romantic love and sex would have been completely new and unknown to her when she first met a male. There is no indication of any of that in the original material.
You're well aware of gay sex as well. A story about you having it for the first time would still go very differently than a story in which you had lots of personal experiences with it before.
They just completely avoided it. The first man Diana had ever seen was Steve Trevor. Why does this even matter? This doesn't affect you at all. Do straight people suffer because a fictional character engaged in sexual acts with a member of the same sex?
Such a story would necessarily be fictional. Wonder Woman (and the rest of the Amazons) were well aware of the existence of men and man's world. One could as easily read dawning sexuality into Diana's fascination with men that develops after she meets Steve Trevor. Feelings and impulses she never knew she had were awakened (hey, that sounds like a cheap romance novel...). You may read implied lesbianism into the Amazons, but that's what you're reading in. Nothing in the text supports it. The Amazons appear to be asexual (except for, as mentioned above, the few occasions where they abducted a--presumably very lucky--man for use in breeding). Unrealistic? No more so than a magically hidden island populated by immortal Amazons. I actually would rather it were left ambiguous. Someone asks "What do you Amazons do for...sex?" and, before Wonder Woman can answer, she gets called away to something important.
Let me get this right ... somebody brings up the image of Wonder Woman having sex with other hot athletic women, and people have a problem with this?
There are people like you in the Doctor Who fan community, obsessed with the idea of looms and asexual reproduction amongst the Time Lords. They're nutters.
But if Wonder Woman is gay, then Batman might be gay. Then they might be gay and they try really hard to not think about cocks all the time. Oh shit, hard... cocks... NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Batman wears tight leather for his costume and lives with a young, supple boy and yall still question whether Batsman is ghey for the cawk?
His closest relationship is with an older man who calls him Master. There's gay, then there is what's going on with Bats.
I'm not obsessed with anything. I just don't care for Wonder Woman being gay or bi. She's been unequivocally straight my whole life (and for a few decades before).
As far as you know, but then, you don't really know. It's not like bisexual people wear a giant star that says "will fuck both y'all for food."
Plentiful evidence is that she's straight and there's no evidence otherwise. She's a fictional character. She can be ret-conned to be anything. But this particular ret-con goes against the history of the character.
Given the rules on comics at the time she was created as a character what evidence could have been shown? Would you argue that I Love Lucy was the tale of an asexual couple given that they were shown to have separate beds?
There's nothing to contradict she's bi though. She's been attracted to men during her career as a superhero, but grew up on an island of women. Do you think she just sat around waiting for dick to show up?
Evolutionary biologists think women are easily bi because it made it easier for them to bond with their husband's other wives or sex slaves, thus reducing social friction.
If the original is silent on the issue, then there's no justification for presuming it. Little Ricky proves they were not asexual. Can you prove Lucy wasn't bisexual? They never said she wasn't. But are there any indicators that she was?
So the argument is that as she was a character first depicted in a time when bisexuality would be censored content, she must in fact not be?
Look, it all comes down to, are they going to show her munch a box in a book meant for kids? No. Have lesbians already fanficced her doing so long before this? Hell yes they have. And God bless them, they're doing the lord's work.
Actually they should have come out and said she was bisexual. Piss off the LGBT and "she's straight" fans in one shot. And yes I realize what the B stands for in LGBT but you'll find a lot of L and G who say no such thing exists.
