It isn’t the second itself that is at issue but the way that since Heller it has been interpreted. For two centuries it was understood that the right to bare arms was tied to militia service, not every individual.

The idea that 2nd guarantees pretty much every individual regardless of militia service access to all the weapons a militia member would need is only fifteen years old.

We can go back. Well. Eventually. Gonna take a while with this current court that has a majority of members appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote.

It’s not just about interpretation of the amendment. It’s about enforcing gun control laws and stop allowing any fucking idiot to own rifles designed for military use.
