I'm not a big fan of the New York Post, but this seems like legit reporting.....

One of the most violent leaders of the Columbia University protests is a professional agitator, according to a New York Post report. It may seem that the majority of protesters are grassroots activists and students. However, according to this report, citing a high-ranking police source, one of their key players – James Carlson – is “a longtime anarchist."

The Columbia University riots have been at the forefront of international media for the last few weeks.

James Carlson, also known as Cody Carlson, 40, is the son of millionaire advertisers Richard and Sandy Tarlow and owns a $3.4 million townhouse in Brooklyn, the article said. He has a criminal history dating back to 2005, according to the New York Post. The New York Post claims he is a “rabble rouser and an attorney by trade” and is being investigated as a possible mastermind of the anti-Israel protests. Carlson was one of the people who broke into Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall and barricaded themselves inside on Tuesday night and was subsequently arrested on Wednesday morning by police. He was charged with burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, conspiracy and criminal trespassing, according to the NY Post.

Carlson later destroyed a camera inside a holding cell while in custody in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police sources cited by the NY Post said, for which he was charged with criminal mischief.

New York Post reported that the police later imposed additional charges on Carlson due to setting alight an Israeli flag, which was held by a 22-year-old protestor, and hitting him in the face with a rock. His charges now include hate crime, assault, and larceny. Carlson was also reportedly present in anti-Israel protests in January.

His first recorded run-ins with the police were in 2005 when he was arrested for violent behavior in “West Coast Anti-Capitalist Mobilization and March Against the G8,” during which protestors cracked a police officer’s skull, and attempted to set fire to a police cruiser. Carlson was charged at the time with attempted lynching, malicious mischief, battery to a police officer, aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon, and more, according to the article. Carlson has no known links to Columbia University. About 30% of those involved in the Hamilton Hall occupation were outside parties, according to Columbia and Mayor Adams, the New York Post maintained.

What I do not get about all of this shit is I always though when you had protests outside agitators came in? To think there were no outside agitators at the Unite the right rallies, and that jan 6th was all local people in DC. The portland protests were all local people gassing the mayor. The BLM protests were all local people. Way back in the day everyone protesting for civil rights only did it in their hometown, and all the protests about vietnam were all local. Remember the Bundy standoff where it was all local people fending off the government who were throwing the Bundy klan off of federal land. Kyle rittenhous didn't have to get driven by his mom across state lines to kill people.

This is the most normal shit in a protest ever. The great hero MLK was an outside agitator to almost every protest he was in.

The whole thought that outside agitators are going to protests and that somehow makes them invalid is absurd and stupid, but that is what you get when you start listening to the gaslighting NY Post. It is not that the Post makes everything up. It is that the Post twists the truth and gaslights so much the actual story is unrecognizable. That is the fun of the NY Post game. you get a real newspaper or online article and try and match it up with the reporting on the event by the Post. It is a game you can play daily.

That aside maybe someone can explain to me why outside people coming in to protest with college students is so wrong in this case when there probably are not many protests about global social issues on a campus that do not get support and participation from outsiders.

As for people who actually break the law, charge them. Even the protestors who use non-violent civil disobedience have to prepare for arrest because of violations and misdemeanor laws that are there to punish those activities if they go beyond permitted rules. That is something some protests do to get attentions and show the dedication of their protestors.

Back in the day, I went to several pro choice rallies before it became a medical right here.

I guess having a penis means I was an outside agitator?

How's that relate to these organized hate events? These aren't protests. This is deliberate. Many of these people have no idea what's going on in the Middle East.

Blaming the left for this is ridiculous, as it's the Trump people that are pulling the strings in the shadows. That's where the money and the "organization" is coming from. Domestic terrorism before our eyes, live on TV

Al Jazeera just had to shut down operations in Israel. Israel is committing unbridled genocide in Gaza as mostly civilians are being killed in the guise of "Eradicating Hamas" which is what Hamas wants to do with Israel. Tit for tat. 1200 civilians plus 150 dead hostages in exchange for 32,000 dead civilians. Israel thinks that's a fair trade.

Many people who survived the rave massacre are committing suicide in unprecedented numbers.

Egypt is suddenly moderate. Iran seems to be biding it's time although it understands Israel could put an end to it in seconds.

You have a lot of paranoia, and you are also very dramatic too. Do you smoke a lot of weed or do other drugs? You might want to slow it down a little bit because you have gone from hallucinating my dick to thinking Trump agitators are making false flag protests on college campuses.

I see why you are hanging around the place with Gturner and Castle, but it is probably a good idea you seek some professional help. I have met quite a few internet wackydoodles in my time, and you are giving off some big old crazy vibes at this point.

At the very least we know you are at the right place and perhaps one of the nutbars can tell you who is a good therapist to talk to.

What irritates me isn't that Israel responded, it's that Israel responded disproportionately. And I lay the blame at Netanyahu's feet.

That said, the foreign policy side of things gives me cautious hope.

    Castle isn't
Well, he's always been that way. He was ousted in a fair election and bullied his way back into office, just like Trump wants to again.

Fortunately there's very little chance Trump will be re-elected, which would give your "cautious hope of the developing foreign policy" a chance to grow wings.

Netanyahu needs to be taken out of this equation for anything to move along. Going to be stuck like this until something happens.

This is what war does. People are not out there protesting what is happening because they want to bne a part of a cause. This is what it is and when we sit over here and sanitize it through censors looking at it from a distance likle a god damned fireworks display on the news, we end up having people think this is fucking cool. This is why we have warhawks like the Clintons, Obama, Bush, Trump, and Biden who all like money and american excellence in wars they never have to be a part of.

It is all numbers and sanitized from reality for them. The one thing it does give to them is money and power. The US is not getting out of it so you better get some meds and buck the fuck up because it is only getting worse from here and Biden is soon going to start using the federal police to get the kids off the college lawns because they are interrupting his nap by demanding hje stop throwing gasoline (aka weapons and funding) on the middle east violence.

I will say it again, dead jews and muslims are good news to a person in the catholic cult like Joe.

What I hear is Israel badly wants normalized relations with Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia badly wants a defensive pact with the US.
And the US is cool with both -- provided that there is an irreversible path to a Two State Solution.
And both Israel and Saudi Arabia are looking at forming an alliance coalition that would include Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, (Jordan), and Western Forces -- but the Two State Solution is an intractable part of the deal.
That leaves two variables -- Netanyahu, and, imo, Hamas/Palestine.

That seems to be pipe dreaming then, even though I agree with your entire assessment. As long as Iran exists there will NEVER be a two state solution. Look what happened (October 7th) the last time they almost made peace.

netenyahu and Hamas nearly got it together, IIRC.

His constant repeating of "the left" as the agitators while Biden sits on his fucking thumbs and does nothing. It's not an echo chamber carefully constructed for nothing.

Everything is a little too symmetrical and organized for this to be a "spontaneous, authentic protest across all these campuses simultaneously"

That's fine. If it pertains to Trump there's always a conspiracy afoot somewhere. He still parrots the "Big Lie" and millions of mouth breathers everywhere drink that oxygen every day. The only reason he wants to get elected (aside from finishing the job on the Treasury) is to stay out of jail, which in the end is probably a fools gambit anyway.

Prove any of what? That he's running to stay out of jail? That the election in 2020 was "stollen"? That these protests aren't organized, as opposed to "organic" and "spontaneous"?

I never said he was behind it. You seem to think he acts on his own. He's going to be busy in court for the next few weeks/months. He's been running his shit mouth saying this is Biden's doing. That it's "election interference" He stole 2016 and tried to steal 2020. Not going to give him another chance.

I haven't seen any evidence suggesting that's the case, but if you think conservatives don't often help amplify far-left grievances and protests to undermine the electoral chances of centre-left candidates, then you're woefully naive.

I do. He lost by 3 million votes except for a few thousand in certain key districts. Why else would Comey have done what he did three weeks before the general? He got fired anyway once he was used. You all mouth Biden Crime Family with no evidence while fuckley is busy being tried for real crimes. 9 million in payments from China. 2 billion 6 weeks after Biden won. 20 Chinese patents for the daughter. January 6th. "Hang Mike Pence". 60 lawsuits and the fake electors. There's your fucking "crime family"
