This would be pretty trivial, once we had the assets. Why are all these threads locked? This discussion clearly has not ended. I'm reopening this one, at least.

I think it would be cute. And if we ever go back to the old way we can just colorize the shell red for negs.

And Neutral reps should have a grey shell!

What's the size (both pixels and Kb) of the turtle image vs. the square? I know they're both small, but when you consider the number that have to fit in a small space and the number that have to load on a single page, that might be important. (Though now that I think about it, I don't actually know how browsers handle duplicates.)

I personally prefer the squares. There's fun, and then there's overly cluttered and in-jokey.

The turtle-reps could be a Greasemonkey script for those who want them. Obviously this would require, at the bare minimum, the time and skill to rip off someone else's script . . . which I apparently lack.

We're gonna need a red Sheldon if rep gets changed, as a few people will be earning red marks.
