It's my fault, for which I apologize. I never watched TOS beyond two or three episodes you see, and didn't really understand the Klingon metamorphosis. Apparently Roddenberry and Berman didn't understand it either. I only watched TOS movies. Speaking to the series, there's only so many women throughout the galaxy that Kirk could have slept with until he wound up in sickbay and Bones is saying to his corpse: "You're dead, Jim." "Alright, you green-blooded son of a bitch; you're the captain now." Although, that would have been good television...today. But I've made my thoughts on Sokar quite clear in this thread. RIP, good sir. I'll see you on the other side.
I would have thought ten+ years together, we'd have all mellowed out a bit. I know I have. Well, besides these:
I fondly remember the only rep war I was ever involved in. OK, I actually started it. There was no chance in hell he could ever, *ahem, 'win', not even with his few faithful rep warriors joining in. That was a very quiet war, no blustering, none of his usual grandstanding in public. And he agreed to stop it pretty quickly when I decided that I didn't want to play no more. Definitely bully-ish behavior. Your typical schoolyard bully will also stand down when met by resistance. An, the times when I had time for such endeavours...
the vast majority have. But apparently for some that progression has been somewhat ...um....retarded....
I keep hearing a lot about the "If you had 2 months to live" thread he started. I must've missed it. Anyone have a link?
Wow, what the hell? This is a shock. Yes he was a pain in the arse but he was one of us, been with the board all along. RIP.
Dang it. I keep looking for him to rip a few select people a new one, and then I remember he's not here.
Man, I still miss this guy. And I know it would make him very happy whenever he is brought up with a "too soon" insult. He would know he won.
This summer, I'll have outlived him by a year and counting. God, that would've pissed him off so hard.
I think of him every time I hear a story about that Trump aide who bragged about giving counterfeit money to homeless people so they'd get arrested when they tried to spend it. What a legacy.
