I wouldn’t call that “bending to right wing pressure”. It looks to me like scholastic is being “forced” to do so and in compliance are calling it out for what it is.

I applaud Scholastic’s choice.

Second: Assuming the post is correct, then no, it’s not a ban. It gives the school district the power to decide the books your child is allowed to BUY!!!

Scholastic sells books to kids, with parental permission. The books, nor is scholastic owned by the school.

The school is a governmental agency. Therefore, it’s censorship.

So the real point of the book banners is now exposed. It is to mail out free porn under the guise of restricting porn. I am quite sure all the repuiblicans immediately threw those graphic images away and did not put them in their secret hiding place only to make a few socks and their bedsheets crusty.
