Blame Xbox and PS3 for this. From what I understand, it's complete, but is going through their quality testing now.
Finally!! Some news!! "As soon as next week" apparently. http://m.ign.com/articles/2012/08/23/walking-dead-episode-3-as-soon-as-next-week I don't know. I might wait a little to play Ep. 3 if it's going to be 2 months til Ep. 4.
Has anyone played this yet? It seems like every episode is better than the last. Tougher decisions, tougher puzzles, better story. This episode really moved me. I was literally on the verge of tears at one point. At this point, I have to say that this series should be on the short list for Game of the Year.
Can't say I'm happy they killed off some of my favourite characters, but that's what makes the game so unpredictible (and great).
I have to play it again. So many people died in my playthrough, I can't help but wonder if I can get a better outcome with a second playthrough. Probably not though. [spoilers] I really didn't see the Carly thing coming. I ended up leaving Lilly on the side of the road because of it. That bitch had to pay, but something tells me I'll be seeing her again... and that whole thing with Duck. [/spoilers]
It's a great game but your decisions don't really affect the outcome. I have two parallel games going where I've made opposite choices, and the storyline doesn't change one bit. How you interact with characters does, however. In my first game, I sided with Kenny. In the second game, I sided with Lilly. The overall outcome of both games is identical. SPOILERS... . . . . . No matter who you save in episode one (Doug or Carley), Lilly ends up killing them in episode three. Carley's death is shocking. Doug's death is far less dramatic and almost stupid. You can choose to leave Lilly at the side of the road or take her along. If you take her along, she steals the RV and leaves anyway. So, unless something major happens in episodes 4 and 5, Telltale's claim about your decisions affecting the story are horseshit. Still a great game, though. P.S. - I also found a major bug in episode three during my second go-round. Duck is invisible for most of the train and death scene!
In one of my playthroughs, I did. She didn't let me finish and just looked at me with those sad eyes and said "I'm not stupid Lee." She and I left it at that. Oddly enough, I think Clem's parents or at least one of them is still alive and we'll run into them in Ep. 5. Just a hunch.
Episode 4 has been given an October release window. http://m.ign.com/articles/2012/09/27/first-walking-dead-episode-4-screenshot-revealed

I'll probably play it on Saturday morning. I'm usually the only one up in my home at that time. This way, I can play the entire episode uninterrupted.
Whoa!! [spoilers] Lee is going to die. I was hoping he'd be around for a few seasons and that he'd find redemption and some measure of happiness with Clem's hot Mom, but it doesn't seem like it is to be. He won't even make it to season 2.I know it's probably not, but I wonder if there's a way to prevent Lee from getting bit?[/spoilers] Hopefully ep 5 won't be so long off. I wonder how long it will be before Season 2 is announced.
Was hoping to finish it but real life got in the way. I think I'm pretty close to finishing... hoping to do so tonight so I haven't read Alpha's spoiler yet. It's pretty good so far and a nice departure from previous episodes. I'm at the point where we're waiting for Molly to get back with the battery. Kenny is turning out to be a real prick, but he did lose his wife and son so I guess it's understandable...
Fuck me! Great episode. This is the first one where I can see some of your choices may actually have an effect on the storyline. I'll test that theory in my second run-through!
Episode 5 releases on Nov. 20 on PS3 and Nov. 21 on 360, PC & Mac!! http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/11/14/walking-dead-episode-5-release-date.aspx
Man, oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Just finished the last episode. What a downer. It was the shortest of the five episodes, but oh man. Jesus. Best game I've played in years. Make sure you watch right through the end credits.
