Dunno if this is the right forum, but here goes

The Wounded Warrior Project is raffling two fantastic rifles (bolt action in .338 and a Noveske M4). The cost is $10 and the page can be found here

This is a great organization whos mission statement is:
Sounds like a great organization and good way to possibly pick up some boom sticks at a very inexpensive price, if you don't like in a state like Kalifornia that is (sorry guys). The URL for the wounded warrior project is here

Thanks. One of my neighbors hunted with a .338 - not a bad deer weapon at all.

    WAit...he used a .308

I knew a guy in Alaska who had a .338 for caribou, moose and bear.

Yeah I've wondered what I would be shooting down here is a .338 if I won it and then I realized, for the price of this rifle I could sell it on gun broker and then get a Remington 700 in .270, .308 or .30-06 and trick it out.

I think those are the people that gave Sgt. Kaiser and his wife a vacation in Alaska when he lost his eye and had half his face busted up by a mortar.

The Wounded Warrior project is doing astounding things to help soldiers repair their bodies and their lives.

Speaking of wounded warriors, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides $2,000 to special operators wounded in combat. The money is no strings, but the most common use is for family plane tickets to visit their loved one. I know there are support mechanisms in place when a soldier is wounded, but it's expensive to travel these days and our grants help defray some of the financial burden.

Hot dog. Sounds like your organization is doing great things and you are doing a great job of getting the word out. Hey have you ever thought of trying to work a deal with Bubba on 102.5. I have a feeling that he and Brent would fall over themselves with your organization

I donated some money. Its either that, or I use it for beer money, and I can do without beer this paycheck around.

    Sounds like a good cause.

All options are open. We have long standing connections with Skip Mahaffey at 103.5. Working with Bubba is a tougher problem. You gotta get through the door and that's tough because you know there are plenty of other good causes (maybe even not so good) banging on his door.

Plus the fact is that while I'm sure he has plenty of fans in the miiltary community, being tied to him in the public eye might not be somewhere we want to go. Not that I think we should be worried about political correctness, but I do think it's imiportant to think through whom you associate with.

It would say a lot more about anyone who didn't support it than someone who does.
