I wouldn't care one way or the other, except that he looked upon most of us as slaves.

I suppose you could say that makes me care even less.

I think we should all take this opportunity to give our thoughts to someone who suffered so long and that, inevitablly, succumbed to a fate that none of us would prefer to witness, much less endure ourselves.

    Good. I hope he suffered.

And yes, I am that low. And proud of it. I hope he rots in hell.

Just think what Mary Jo's great sacrifice saved this country from.

She needs her own monument in DC.

Aside from the obvious reminder that we will all will end up pushing dasies I find the passing of Teddy a mixed bag.

His actions at Chappaquiddick were deplorable and unacceptable by any standards. Booze and privilege came to a head that night and it cost Mary Jo her life.
Joe covered his ass and got him off with a leaving the scene but what I find even more reprehensable is the fact that he continued to serve the United States Senate. Anyone else would have been out on their ass I believe but the fact that his brothers were killed as they were is the reason he continued on. Well, that and all that money Joe spread around.

That said, it's time for him to meet his maker. I would wish cancer on no one and only regret he didn't face the same fate as Mary Jo, that would have been a more fitting justice but would have made his suffering less.

Adios Ted. Your suffering is done.
    May God be merciful.

Who wants to bet Massachusetts rams through that change in the state law regarding replacing Senators to "honor" him?

I'm unaware of anyone Robert Novak murdered, let alone murdered and skated free from. Please enlighten me as to when that happened.

He did some good, he did a lot more bad, but I'm not going to wish him ill. Whatever awaits on the other side is dealing with him now.

The last of a generation. So long, Senator.

I'm not aware of there being any reason to believe that Kennedy "murdered" anyone.

Yes, I'm aware of the incident you're referring to. There still isn't any evidence of a murder having taken place.

Fuck Ted Kennedy and fuck you.

This wasn't some pundit on television. This wasn't the family member of a politician. This wasn't a spokesperson of a President. This was Ted fucking Kennedy, a massive cancer on the fat ass of government.

Ted Kennedy, unconvicted murderer who enjoyed a life of privilage and protection while fucking the rest of us for decades right up to the last minute when this finally ended what the parasites of Massachusetts wouldn't. Not only that, but this is effectively the end of the entire Kennedy political dynasty and I couldn't be happier.

I hope the motherfucker burns in hell and I hope saying that makes you cry like the little bitch that you are.

Driving a car drunk that crashes and walking away knowing there is a woman in the car under water = murder to any sane person. Of course that excludes you on both counts.....

I'm beginning to wonder just how many times and how vociferously I have to state my opposition to the policies of the Democratic party, before idiots like you get the message that I don't support them.

Yes, Kennedy's actions were despicable to say the least, but to refer to them as murder as if it ought to be uncontroversial is wrong.

BTW....I heard Ted ran the car into the water for the insurance money....he was "upside down" on his car loan.

Thank you, try the veal! :D

Indeed you are correct...this was no murder. It was an unpreventable accident.

Who among us hasn't been drinking and recklessly ran their car into the water, then concocted a fanciful cover story, ultimately using influence + priviledge to avoid any legal repercussions?

Hasn't this situation been "done to death" in sit-coms + family comedies?

And everyone knows that chatting about a sailing race is one of the steps in the "grieving process." ;)

Besides...it's all just water under the bridge at this point. :soholy:

Thank you, try the veal! :D

Here's a fitting hell for Ted: Trapped in a sinking, inverted vehicle in an icy river, scratching to get out and drowning over and over.

It's not the accident himself that marks him as worthy of hell, but his conduct in the aftermath.

I think he covered that already. You kill someone in an automobile while drunk and you have indeed committed murder through your negligence. I will say it wouldn't be murder one unless it could be proven the driver intentionally planned to do just the deed he did.

How many of you in here believe in God's grace? Or do you just give lipservice to it and condemn without knowing for certain where Senator Kennedy stands on the other side of the afterlife? God forgives everyone, and I'm going to hope the Senator didn't end on the bad side of the afterlife. We would all hope to be forgiven and end up in the Lord's presence, even after we did something bad. So show some class, folks, regardless of his politics or your personal opinion.

So if I get in a car crash with someone, leave the scene and don't report the crash or the unconscious and dying passenger still in the car, i haven't murdered anyone?

Do you ever think about what you post before you post it? :jayzus:

I can neither confirm nor deny pressing any particular button.....there are many different buttons, and red is just one of many colors available. And "pressing" a button is just one of many actions one can take...there are "activating" "engaging" "manipulating" and on and on.

And it's a know fact that the janitorial staff are all over my Presidential Office during that time of night, cleaning up spilled wiskey and used condoms.
It could have been any one of them who did or did not "press the button."

    Hey.....how about those Red Sox?

We can only hope, though there are those who He doesn't as the Bible clearly teaches. Perhaps one of our biblical scholors can expand on this further.

    1. First Degree Murder: An intentional killing by means of poison, or by lying in wait, or by any other kind of willful, deliberate and premeditated action.
    2. Second Degree Murder: Homicide committed by an individual engaged as a principal or an accomplice in the perpetration of a felony.
    3. Third Degree Murder: Any other murder (e.g. when the intent was not to kill, but to harm the victim).

Which of these does your description qualify as?

I'm not sure how you make that jump.
