We should all remember, @Steal Your Face is not an uncommon voter, and aside from the reality he may have a felony conviction, most people like him do not and have nothing restricting them from voting.

There is a reality that the people coming across the border illegally are more likely to have more information and ideas about reality than the majority of Trump voters. They probably have a much better grasp on how the US government operates that the boy clearly does.

I probably trust them a lot more with the future of america than the people willing to destroy this country just because whypipo are not going to run it with christian fascism anymore. It seems like they come over with an idea of the real troubles of the world, while the repug voter does not know much beyond their little town in flyover country. At least they value america as a land of opportunity and freedom rather than see it as a festering shithole that needs to be rid of brown people to fix the major problem.

I’ve seen three churches now with signage stating Vote No on Amendment 4. One of those churches had the entire front facade covered in a Vote No banner. These are the same churches that are exempt from taxation and are forbidden from actively engaging in campaign activities. I’m sure DeSantis and his minions are looking into it.

There isn’t really any difference in presidential candidates anymore.

Presidents can “champion” a particular agenda, but if s/he can’t get congressional votes to pass it, it doesn’t matter what s/he is proposing/championing.

Congress critters do not get campaign funding if they don’t vote the way the party wishes them to vote.

The parties have stolen the political process from the American people.

And the parties get more funding, payments, gifts, etc. from wealthy contributors than all combined individual and small time lobbies.

The wealthy are running this country. Any votes in any direction is an illusion of choice.

I bet that there are just loads of legal firms specialising in electoral law with no links to Republicans that could be used to defend against legal abuses by Democrats.

Said candidate is being propped up by Putin, who is also propping up Trump. That you ignore this shows you don't really care about the issues involved. Nor do you understand what the rapid disintegration of the American political system would do. At least when the Soviet Union imploded, there was another superpower in the world who quell the chaos while the various pieces tried to sort things out.

If we go down now, in a similarly rapid manner, who's going to help secure our nuclear weapons? Remember how shitty the global economy got in '08 when ours shat the bed? What's going to happen to the rest of the world when we blow, not a $2 trillion hole in the global economy, but one at least twice as large, and have no one willing to make the kinds of changes needed to correct things? Not to mention the flood of refugees trying to escape our civil war? How many millions of people do you think will die?

Even if the Dems completely ignored Stein, she wouldn't have a chance of winning the White House, with or without the Electoral College. Which means Trump, which means the US invades Mexico, and death camps, not merely just for refugees fleeing to the US, but for people who've lived in this country for generations. It means mass murder of people because of the color of their skin, their religion, or their political views.

Tell me how that would be better than a Harris Presidency. Hell, even with a Harris Presidency we might not be able to avoid some of that because of how hungry Trumpers are for violence. Go on, explain it to us. We're all ears.

Even if Stein is being propped up by Putin, the Democratic Party is trying to get her off the ticket. RickDeckard isn’t wrong.

What’s wrong is thinking either party has any interest in democracy.

Here's Kshama Sawant introducing Jill Stein and admitting "we can't win the election but we can stop Kamala Harris from winning Michigan and she needs it to win the WH."

    So. There you have it.

    https://bsky.app/profile/coachfinstock.bsky.social/post/3l5wob4hsib24

In case you think this is just fellow traveler/useful idiot Sawant popping off and not representing Jill Stein’s goal she was introducing her at an event in Dearborn, MI named:
Abandon Harris: Organize to End the Genocide

So yeah. Known Russian asset Jill Stein actively campaigning JUST to put Trump in office.

    So democratic.

Not even sure where to begin with this nonsense.

It's absolutely appropriate and fully consistent with democracy for the Green Party and Abandon Harris to convince people to vote for them in order to use the leverage that that creates against a party pursuing policies fundamentally anathematic to theirs, such as to ensure that they either change those policies or lose.
If/when they lose, that will then be on their candidate for having shitty policies and failing to persuade people to vote for her.

And it is inconsistent with democracy to try to use every means at your disposal in order to keep opponents from running against you.

Also, the Russians really have you guys by the balls. If we're to believe Democrat-aligned media, the penetration is so total that three out of four prominent candidates in this election are working as their agents!

The fun thing about Putin is that he works hard to weaponize the values of the West against itself. Freedom of speech helps him flood the West with destabilizing propaganda. Democratic elections allow him to fund a bunch of sockpuppet candidates to tip the scales in tight races. This isn't exactly new information.
