Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 5th Quasi-Annual Forgies Awards Ceremony! Our first category recognizes the contribution of Wordforge's newest members. This year, two Newb's ran very strong in the nominations; they are: Bickendan and sandbagger Alas, there can be only one. And the '11 Forgie for Best Newb goes to:

Our next category acknowledges the Wordforge poster who best uphelds the right-wing position. Four mighty righties were nominated by you: Asyncritus, Jamey Whistler, Paladin, and Nova Though competition was fierce, only one poster could claw his way to the top of this dog-eat-dog world and claim the Best Conservative Forgie:

The following were nominated for Best Post: 14th Doctor ("I think the universe owes him one."), cpurick ("And the problem this religion--this cult--is that living up to its demands requires us to live in denial of reality.") That's it for this year's awards. Congratulations to all the winners and the nominees. See you in 2012!
And Paladin, despite his best efforts during the creation of this year's Forgies, has indeed walked away as the Jack Nicholson of the ceremony. Ironically enough, he is sporting an avatar of a character played by Jackie-boy himself, though embittered by Mr. Ledger's performance and subsequent Oscar for the role.
Thanks for doing this Paladin, and thanks for all who participated. So next year, will it be like, starting now, you know, to make a full year? I just want to be sure to keep tabs of posts and threads and stuff, you know. It's kinda like Christmas in July!
