Wrong. It had more pork than Burn Co.'s smoker. And Cruz wasn't the congressman being interviewed in the segment I watched.
Seriously? Dinner you're going to claim the Hurricane Sandy Relief bill wasn't filled with pork? Here's a sampling of the pork that was in that bill: Million dollars or more: $150 million for Alaska fisheries $41 million for military bases including Gitmo $5.2 million for the DOJ $4 million for Kennedy Space Center $3.5 million for Homeland Security $2 million for the Smithsonian Institution in DC $207 million VA Manhattan Medical Center $58.8 million for forest restoration on private land. $197 million “to… protect coastal ecosystems and habitat impacted by Hurricane Sandy.” Billion dollars or more: $10.78 billion for public transportation, most of which is allocated to future construction and improvements, not disaster relief. $17 billion for wasteful Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), a program that has become notorious for its use as a backdoor earmark program. The Sand relief bill was almost pure pork.

In Houston they have no zoning laws and no city planning to speak of. Property ownera got to build what they wanted where they wanted including in flood plains and no real thought was given to the ability to absorb or slow down flood waters. This flood is the result and it shows why libertarianism is a poor choice in the long run. https://www.washingtonpost.com/grap...n-935pm:homepage/story&utm_term=.9ff01be9d73e
A staggering 17 BILLION is for the Community Development Block Grants which seems to be so ambiguous as to be ripe for abuse and corruption.

WTF DINNER! I thought you hated guns and gun owners. Why does this guy get a pass? He's acting like everyone where I live would act under similar circumstances. Please explain
Former law enforcement so he has proper training and knows the law. You can't say that about most gun owners. I would like to see the training and testing go way up then we can see.
Then I guess you would feel comfortable in my neighborhood. Many military & law enforcement and rednecks who have to take the Hunter Safety Course just to able to hunt. Sadly many are conservatives, which is par for the course. Our violent crime rate is in the basement BTW as makes sense for any place that is conservative/military/outdoor enthusiasts.
