Someone replaced the Falcon's round dish that Lando broke off in the second Death Star with a rectangular one.

Not a bad looking teaser. Definitely gives off the vibe of the OT without the sterile looks of the prequels. Lived in universe, check. Cute widdle robot for 12 billion dollars in merchandising, check. The Empire isn't just *pooof* gone. Check. Falcon, glorious? Check. In short, told ya so, it's just perfect for everybody on the whole bloody planet and they are showing it in under a minute.

As for wishes I won't get... it won't be a broader, more SciFi like story. Of course not since SW is a Fantasy product with swords and magic and dragons.

    Disagree for two reasons

#1 They way they sword fight in the prequels is radically different from the original trilogy. All that twisting, turning and jumping around and you're bound to get stuck on those side mini-light sabers.

#2 Luke would still have lost his hand even with a cross guard because the way he was holding his saber the cross guard would not have protected him from Vader's saber which went under and from the side cutting off Luke's hand at the wrist.

Hmmm. One thing that stands out to me in that artwork...

There seems to be another ship--called 'The Carousel'--that is very similar in design to the Millennium Falcon but maybe 2/3rds the size in the movie. The ship in the new trailer, however, does appear to be the Falcon despite the (repaired-from-its-damage-in-RotJ) different deflector dish.

It's all pukka....and it's said that the hooded figure in what looks like a cave throne room is a certain Mr. Skywalker.

I'm thinking the girl riding the giant Lego is Han & Leia's daughter, is the pilot of the Carousel, is a Jedi.
The Carousel therefore would be Daddy's-little-girl's sweet sixteen present.

    95%+ certain.
    Very probably.
    Or will be.
I like it. A chip off the old block, but Force-adept as well.

I'm pretty glad JJ doesn't appear to be following the EU where Han and Leia's progeny are concerned--one goes Sith, kills his Jedi brother, then gets killed by his twin. I'm kinda surprised George Lucas or the overseer of the EU allowed it.

 I thought the Rich Evans one was really stupid until about 1:30. Then it turned into awesome and win!

Oh, and Plinkett isn't even remotely amusing any more. He's just fucking annoying.

While Lucas Film was always strict about trying to make sure the EU was internally self consistent, George Lucas himself didn't see much problem with stretching or entirely changing things for the main movies or even his pet EU projects.

Plus, George doesn't get a say anymore since he took all that sweet sweet Disney money.
