What lunatic "independent analysts" are you listening to? The people who actually made the video have stated that they flat out lied.

The Republican Congressional investigation report said there was no wrong doing and that the videos had been edited so extensively as to create a false impression. The unedited footage showed the exact opposite of what was claimed.

No, there shouldn't be reluctance or shame. You can want them to be rare and at the same time demand that they be safe and accessible for those occasions when it is the best choice for a woman. Abortion providers focus on the safe, activists focus on the available. Both of these are important, no matter how rare we might personally want abortion rates.

No, people don't get off on killing babies, but we realize that ill timed pregnancies can wreck havoc on someone's lives. Would you have liked to have been raised by a single mom working three jobs to make ends meet or in an abusive household with a violent father?

There's also the fact that people have their own demons to face and even if they have the resources to raise a child, they still feel like it wouldn't be for them. A friend of mine has had three, and I'll honestly say that I only ever thought of anyone having more than one as a vapid, wanton slut before meeting her. But then, given her parents never even dated before her mom got pregnant and ignorant ass family members on both sides pushed them to get married and she's grown up feeling as though her parents' unhappiness was her fault for existing, it's a wonder she's turned out as well as she has.

As I've said here and on FB when the topic comes up, abortion is rarely as simple as incovinience 99 percent of the time. We can start by addressing the reasons why women feel like their children are better off not being born and that would do far more to reduce abortions than typical conservative slut shaming.
