Has she actually made the charge that in this one case, completely contrary to all her other analyses of all other video games she has ever spoken about, one person set out to deliberately design a shitty representation of women? In that case, yes, she should confront that person, I guess. More importantly, I'd like to hear why Sarkeesian thinks that this one case is radically different to every other case she knows.

Because her criticisms appear to be related to the contents of the games themselves, and not the genitals of those creating them.

(I've never actually played a Bayonetta game, so maybe there's some sort of in-universe justification for her appearance, or maybe the men are depicted in exactly the same way. But I'm not aware of it. )


Do you have actual examples of an exchange similar to the one you describe occuring, or are you simply creating strawmen of your own? Because all I'm seeing Sarkeesian criticise in the OP is the actual content, not the individual artists themselves. You're trying hard to make this about individuals, but that doesn't make it so.

And that's about as deep as Sarkeesian ever went with it.

Judging from that tweet, Sarkeesian seems to be satisfied with criticizing content, not any individual artist.
