    In some cases.

    In some cases.

    Never said that.

    Twisting my words.

On that score, there's more than enough to damn her on Twitter, but you don't want to hear it.

    Not at all.
It's a helluva charge, Sarkeesian should confront Shimazaki about it.

    Yep.
The intellectual dishonesty is thick enough to cut with a knife.

Has she actually made the charge that in this one case, completely contrary to all her other analyses of all other video games she has ever spoken about, one person set out to deliberately design a shitty representation of women? In that case, yes, she should confront that person, I guess. More importantly, I'd like to hear why Sarkeesian thinks that this one case is radically different to every other case she knows.

Because her criticisms appear to be related to the contents of the games themselves, and not the genitals of those creating them.

Remember when Muad used to post pictures of Black Confederate soldiers, as though that proved something about the motives of the Confederacy? That's what you're trying to do now.

Female characters are just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sexualized....

The majority of the sexy stuff is from Japan & Korea. Good luck getting any of that changed with their culture...

"You claim group X does things that make Y shitty for members of group Z. But look, here's a member of group Z actively working with group X in relation to Y! That undermines your criticisms of Y and vindicates the actions of group X!"

    No. It does not. :bailey:

You're arguing against a straw man.

Post 26 shows I said nothing like that.

You lie, and you experience no shame in the lying.
Do you think the ends justifies the means, or do you sincerely believe your bullshit?
    Frankly, I don't care anymore.
    The lies are enough.

Your intent was clear. Otherwise why is the gender of this particular artist in any way relevant when discussing their work?

I would think it would be obvious.
I pointed it out, if a man hand-waved Bayonetta away as " a fuck doll", he'd be in big trouble.
    So, clearly gender matters.
At least to the crowd that Sarkeesian is preaching to.
But, then, Shimazaki's sexism is just assumed.
No one on the Feminist Frequency side of things bothers with that.
    Why?
Because X is sexism no matter who does it?
    Why?
The silence on these questions is deafening.

It's like when creationists say "we can't answer this yet...so goddidit!".

"We have no answer why a woman would create a character like this...so gender traitor!".

Wait a minute, science can find a real answer to existence, and you can actually ask Shimazaki her thinking.
In both the creationist and feminist camps, there seems to be more caring about their own made up answers than the objective truth.

I didn't assert what the objective truth is, I asked "how about we fucking find out first?".

And if you could sincerely interpret post #26 into post #41, you prove my point about being blinded by your biases.

Bayonetta looks like a fuck doll. :bergman:

(I've never actually played a Bayonetta game, so maybe there's some sort of in-universe justification for her appearance, or maybe the men are depicted in exactly the same way. But I'm not aware of it. )

Do you have actual examples of an exchange similar to the one you describe occuring, or are you simply creating strawmen of your own? Because all I'm seeing Sarkeesian criticise in the OP is the actual content, not the individual artists themselves. You're trying hard to make this about individuals, but that doesn't make it so.

So, you as much admit that's a shallow assessment.

And that's about as deep as Sarkeesian ever went with it.

Shame on the both of you.

I find it amusing that when allegedly feminist movements throw women under the bus, and I would simply ask to know why, I'm the bad guy.

Judging from that tweet, Sarkeesian seems to be satisfied with criticizing content, not any individual artist.

Another way in which she's more successful than you. :diacanu:
