Amy and I saw the Independence Day sequel today. Star Trek Beyond was the only trailer they played.

Beyond looks worse than I ever dreamed.

What did your wife think of the Star Trek trailer? Better or worse than she ever dreamed?

Why? All you saw was the trailer, and in that trailer is a badass epic space battle right there.

It has the Enterprise getting destroyed. Which makes it a de facto bad movie.

She said it was okay. Not as good as the original though. Which was about my opinion.

That's about what my expectations are for ID4:2. Might just wait to watch it until I can pirate it.

They could've made a far, far better movie if they had focused more on how the world had changed in the last 20 years since the first attack rather than trying to replicate so much of the original.
