So a man killing people because he believes a lie completely invented by the right wing... Doesn't reflect on the right wing at all nor should the right wing stop inventing lies? Well, that is a pretty extremist position but I do thank you for at least showing everyone that your position holds no water.
Now you are just being stupid. It's a far different thing for somebody to imagine a message that isn't there (ie Manson and the Beatles) compared to somebody taking an extreme response to an actual message that is in fact there.
The part claiming they are murderers who must be stopped and why won't anyone stop them? Yeah, that part. They were clearly urging people to action and they knew that many of their followers were both armed and mentally unstable. They were pretty clearly inciting people to violence and even if they weren't (which I do not for one second believe) they clearly are criminally negligent.
So, who actually got shot? I read that not one employee or staff member of Planned Parenthood was shot. Ironically, the cop who was killed, was an Elder in a very conservative Baptist Church, and was himself very anti-abortion.
I don't believe it. Been scanning facebook all weekend and lots of memes about The Right hiding their heads in the sand. the only facebook friends that are extreme right wing don't post political stuff on facebook. so, I come here ... and seriously, you guys are actually defending/minimizing the incident. calling him anything but a terrorist. denying his political leanings - regardless of what is or isn't on his voter ID card (if he even has one). Are you guys so far gone that you can't even say this guy is a terrorist and he is bad?
A 29 year old Iraq veteran: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ctim-kearre-stewart-tried-save-others-n471126 A 35 year old mother of two: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/11/3...ood-shooting-identified-as-mother-2-iraq-war/
Where you asleep? Or do you just want to play your usual is the sky blue game? Google it and you will find it but I will not spend my work time looking for something that has been shown over and over.
I want proof from you that "many of their followers (FoxNews and right wing media) are both armed and mentally unstable". A couple of links from unbiased sources (like The Economist) should be sufficient.
That a portion of their followers are both armed and mentally unstable is self evident. Now you are just quibbling over how many.
I note no one's disputing that this is Yet Another Crazy with a Gun. No calls for better mental-health screening? Have you guys given up on that one? The suspect's neighbors are currently spilling to the media. The claim is that he was "strange" but "not dangerous." One said Dear was urging neighbors to install metal roofs on their houses to block Gubmint surveillance. Anyone know whether or not he had legitimate ownership of his "long gun"? Anyone care?
You could probably say the same about "a portion" of nearly any substantially sized population in the U.S. What it is incumbent upon you to do is provide evidence that such a "portion" is unusually large or disproportionate. I don't think right wing media should be getting slammed if they have 50 million regular viewers or listeners and 5 of them per year go on a killing spree. Literally "one in a million" A person is more likely to die in a traffic accident on the way to a Planned Parenthood Clinic.
You're misquoting. You might want to fix that. Between that and your rating my post where, in response to @Sean the Puritan's request I listed the other two victims of the Planned Parenthood attack, as "GFY", I was starting to think you had some kind of aneurysm.
No, you're being willfully obtuse here. There are thousands more a google search away, but I don't want dignify their disgusting and oversimplistic message any more than I have to to make my point: There is a sizable portion of the population who believe that abortion is murder, and as evidenced by Dear's act of terrorism, a belief that those who have an abortion or perform an abortion should pay with their lives. Furthermore, it is well established that a good portion of the electorate base believes in the sanctity of life so long as that life is unborn, but they couldn't give a damn once it's born, as they don't support social welfare programs and are quick to back wars. You say you don't watch FOX or partake of its media, but your rhetoric speaks against that. There is a cognitive dissonance at play that is frankly astounding.
Oh gee, Rick Deckard disagrees with me over The Economist. Hey Rick, why don't you suggest some news magazines you consider most "unbiased".
I have nothing against The Economist. I disagree with your constant, arbitrary citation of it as an unbiased authority on every subject that comes up, and on your personal concept of bias in the first place.
What do you mean by my "personal concept of bias"? I believe in the veracity of "statements against interest if that is what you mean. I would include "U.S. News & World Report" in that category of nonbias but they are online only now IIRC.
"Statements against interest" for another thing. It's a stupid standard. And we've discussed this before, so don't play dumb.
And? No one is disputing that. ...and here is where your argument falls a part. You're trying to tie people who are against abortion, for which judging by polls is many, to people who think murder is an acceptable answer. You have absolutely zero evidence of that correlation. There is definetly hypocrisy with the far right on the issue of life. They hate abortion but LOVE the death penalty. I say if you're pro-life then be pro-life from cradle to grave. All I can say is believe what you want, but I rarely even catch CNN anymore and that use to be my favorite news channel. I might catch the O'Reilly Factor every once in awhile but that's it on fox and MSNBC is such an Obama ass kissing network that I haven't caught any of those programs in years.
I called him a deranged sycopath which most normal people would understand as "bad person" but if it makes you tight asses feel better.... He's a terrorist.... Happy? By the way GUL that makes me the FIFTH poster in this thread to refer to him as a terrorist and you aren't one of them. Hypocrite.
Not exactly getting Fox News or Drudge here folks.. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/suspect-planned-parenthood-shooting-35465028
He must have headed back into civilization once in a while to stock up on ammo and jerky. Maybe the TV above the bar where he stopped for a beer was on FOX playing Carly's little fairy tale on a loop.
