Yeah, they have almost as many junkies as Vancouver, so you must feel at home.

Vancouver has the worst junkie problem in Canada and it doesn't even rate or compare to cities you find in almost every state in America.

The guy that has Baltimore in his country just talked smack to me about a junkie problem. Amazing.

To be fair the NFL players commit so many crimes it is hard to keep up especially when it is a relatively minor player whose crime gets little coverage. Also conservatives have been rather outspoken about player criminality in the past and the need for rules changes to expel such players. Something the league has actively resisted.

Oh, and let us not forget this guy actually got fired which was the right call. All in all we just have someone trying to sell half truthes, outright lies, and a bit of race baiting for clicks. Yes, all players who commit crimes should be fired and banned from the league especially when the league enjoys generous subsidies from state and local governments.

 It isn't going over my head, I simply see it differently than you do. If the "most marginalized minority in our history" actually means anything to you, then that ought to tell you something right there. Are there Natives that agree with you - yes. But I shouldn't have to point out to you that we're hardly all the same. Especially someone such as myself who is not full-blood (and has seen prejudice from other Natives because of it). That being said, one of the things I like the least is someone being offended for me, or worse yet, having the gall to get mad at me because I'm not offended at something. :brood:

The example I used illustrated that it's not about race or even about the religion these people practice which apparently deems it okay to steal from people if they don't belong to your interpretation of the all-powerful sky daddy. It's about an established pattern. Stores are worried about losing product to theft. Is that to say that there's no racial aspect to it, ever? No, I know for a fact that there is in some places. Considering that they're named after our people, the Dakotas can be pretty damn unfriendly to us, even if it's a lot better than it was in the '70s and '80s for my mother. Hell, my mother had the same thing happen with her as far as having store employees keeping and eye on her to varying degrees of discreteness. The thing is, having lived on more than one reservation, I can tell you that theft is indeed quite common amongst Natives. Much like blacks living in the poor parts of the big city, this is largely due to poverty. Reservations are some of the poorest parts of the country you will ever see, particularly tribes like mine that are literally in the middle of no where, and do not have a casino (or anything else, really) to supplement its income. Maybe having experienced life on reservations has given me more perspective, and that's why I'm a little more understanding as to why stores might be a little worried that their shit might get stolen by a Native because, you know, it might. It's a bit harder for me to just come down on something like that as "it's wrong," I guess, especially since I know from my experience on the other side of it that, at least where I worked, race really wasn't the defining aspect to it, as evidenced by the Amish types getting the same treatment. See, now this is one of those things that are actually nuanced.

To be fair, they're usually on either PCP or crack, rather than smack or meth in MTL... not technically "junkies".

@Captain X thanks for your reply. I'm typing on my phone, or else I'd quote it directly.

I did work retail before the Navy, and yeah I noticed certain groups would pull certain frauds. White folks,we're almost always the ones uding counterfeited cash and every single person that tried switching clearance tags were Mexican.

And I can kinda get it in poor areas, but then you'll go to a higher end store that treats you like shit or the ones that'll direct you to the clearance rack...or what I've been told by other clients at the car dealership about people not going out to them because they assumed they have bad credit or not legal.

No need to go that far back - when Kazir Khan ripped Trump at the Dem convention the attack dogs were quickly out accusing him of radical Muslim ties/beliefs.

I have noticed a lot of people who are pissed at this guy for not standing for the national anthem are supportive of that swimmer who beat up a bathroom and then pretended he was robbed before dashing back home to avoid prosecution. Personally I will take a guy who uses his right to speech in an honest protest over a drunken American embarrassment who is hiding behind our borders because he is not man enough to face his crime.

A lot of Lochte's supporters are the USA! USA! crowd who are convinced the Rio authorities are lying about the incident to make the US look bad or cover up the fact that Lochte and co really WERE robbed, etc.

Same sort are therefore not amiable towards uppity coloureds saying the USA ain't the greatest (though it's fine when THEY claim it's going down the tubes due to the goddamn libs/Hispanics/SJWs...).

That's because all the witnesses confirmed Lochte's story - except that the gun wasn't held to his head, it was just pointed at his head from five feet away.

After spending three months writing stories about Brazilian police corruption and shakedowns, the press just swallowed the police version of the story hook line and sinker without even interviewing witnesses.

Security video of the incident shows that Lochte and his friends never even entered the bathroom the police say they trashed. Video of the bathroom shows that it was never trashed. The mirror wasn't broken. The soap dish was still sitting where it had always been, with a nasty piece of soap on it. The door was perfectly fine. And Lochte did have to pay the cops $50 at gunpoint so he could get out of there.

Here's the difference: one story has been repeated on a daily basis while the other hasnt.
If the media covered this story the way they have kaepernick you'd see all kinds of outrage. Yeah that guys a piece of shit and is another stain on a league that has become more repugnant every year.

And last time I checked, Greg Hardy is black. If there was a double standard at play he would have never been given a second chance like so many other athletes have been given.
